Don't go big brother on him , u will just scare him to do worse behind u.
Take him as a friend and list the merit and demerits.
Strike a deal that if his academics result is worse then he should hands off
Tell him what he probably already knew , that he would need to always please his gf at all times and that would mean money and attention.
Finally , let him understand that if he study hard and gets a good grade then he would enter university without delay and get better girls who prefer intelligent guys
