A govt official can buy it with personal $ and put govt # on it.

chairman live that thing, he buy am with him money for where? No be public fund he convert to him own? The cost of that car is so much that most public officers would not be able to afford it unless they misappropriate publc funds.

Billyonaire: Whats wrong with having Porsche as Official car ? Are we in recession in Nigeria ? Last time I checked, this is not Cyprus. We are an oil nation goddamnit. Its time we start living large in this wonderful country with near-zero tax regime and stop lamenting, some South African and Ghanians keep messing with us cos we are too humble. Let us show them we live beyond forking $2 per day. LOL!!!

So public officers cant afford less than 9million naira for a car ? Nnah, nawa for you people oh. How much you think salaries are ? Some people earn 4m to 5m monthly in oil and gas sector, most politicians at the Federal level earn something on that margin as salaries oh.

I will try to, but lets call a spade a spade. We have more private jets in this country than Switzerland, infact, we are 3rd owners of private jets outside USA and China. So, if you still think we live under 300 naira per day, then I will run far from you.

You do know that a permenant secretary gets over N1.5m a month right? Plus other perks, not to talk of commissioners, senators and ministers who earn about double or triple that amount monthly.

Some government officials don't need to steal funds yo, they earn well enough..... I know this! and frankly, i really don't care, as long as they do their respective jobs.

Only poor people call for division of Nigeria. Why is that ? when you are ready to fight, let me know so I can jet out of the country and return to rule over you. Grow up!

In Oil/Gas, lower executives earn between 4m to 5m per month. Many people in Nairaland actually are not aware of organizational structures and payroll.

A new conflict; a new ruling class.
Nigerians maynt b livin below 2dolls but there ar extreme poverty compared wit advanced countries.
Slum for Port elizabeth, SA; if na so slum dey be ehhh... Slums wit tarred roads n power. It can pass for a township somewhere in Naija.

Speaking the truth, nigerians aint poor o, i can say 4 d southern part of Nigeria, in my neigbourhood, we have people who stay in 1 room and palour, bt can afford 2 run gen every nite, i mean literarily every nite, calculate fuel of i beta pass my neibour 4 every nite jst 4 a mnth, u ll c how much dis pple spend. Even young primary 6 cert holders doing helpers to bricklayers use flashy phones, go clubing every friday in warri. Tel me say, na food be their problem? Bt then our leaders stil nid to be accountable, we cn do far better than this.

LOL... It's so funny to me, I swear. My gateman earns 35k every month, and we feed him twice daily, so basically his entire salary goes to his savings..

I don't even know what those world bank, UN or whoever came up with those BS stats are smoking.
