Shutup! Who is your oga at the top? *hisses*
With this rule 17, he doesn't worth the paper he's written on...

So where is democracy? A good number of people are complaining about a particular rule, yet he remains adamant. Seun, the Sadam Hussein of our time; I hail thee!

Shame!!

We should respect Islam but free to do whatever to others!

Sharia over the Internet, seun as an academic should know better.

I hope Muslims don't see this as a victory, suppressing the voices of people adds no credibility to any faith.

It shows that there are hidden motives.

Rule number 21 is downright pathetic. Is English our cultural obligation. That I choose to write in ways that I can relate to is nobody's biz.

Lastly, power corrupts. I guess since you own the site we must comply.

What makes you different from the autocratic leaders we had in the past?

My first post in several months......
Before Nairaland, we existed and after Nairaland, life will definitely go on. If Seun and his cronies decide to run this forum this way, I am really ashamed!!! Rules are made to be broken anyways.

kaboninc: Am really getting some business tips as it applies to today's world. Mr Seun, have you come to think of how the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, RIM, Apple, Sony and Samsung come to be what they are? I tell you if you do.....you'll be like them.

In as much as you have over a million sign-ons, you still do not have a tenth of theirs and honestly you never see behaviours. Theirs are more rational, aggressive, demanding coupled with the growth rate. Luckily the monopoly thing is in your favour.

Lastly, that rule 21 get as e be. I suggest it is modified. You own a site that targets a Nigerian society both near and far so why would or should there be a rule that affects the Nigerian lifestyle? Even Wole dey nack am too.

Very valid point. Back to the rules, I dont know why folks are so angry about no 17, you should be angry about everything. Dont know why I have a feeling that Seun is under a serious external pressure or he has sold the business but still managing it for the stakeholder and he has to do their bidding. Just watch your back, you dont have monopoly of this business and you are not an NGO. Your house is about to be deserted.

Number 17 sounds quite dictatorial. Not that I support attacking any belief set but a more general angle would be more appropriate. Please Mr Seun change it.

What Seun should do fast. Simply change the rule to: "Don't make insulting comments about any religion". When anyone makes a comment against Islam, you delete it. But against Xtianity, you leave it. Simple. Abi?

gboss4sure: As regards to Rule 17, I think someone is holding seun on gun point, so chritianity is good to be insulted but islam is not good to be insulted. This is really funny.

Also seun said something about lost of life if rule 17 is modified, this confirms what we have been saying that Islam is a violent religion and it proves whatever mactulanji and co has been trying to tell us as lies. If islam aint a viloent religion then how would loss of lives come into play if rule 17 is amended to fit in both christianity and islam. Once again someone is after seun and he better tell us so that we can help. That's my opinion
my taught exactly

2). In our secondary schools we r tot how to write in different languages (Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, etc). So y can't we write in our dialects here? Do U̶̲̥̅ no d meaning of WAZOBIA?
3)Has Boko-boys threaten U̶̲̥̅? Pls report to GEJ.

Seun: Many Muslims don't like rule 17.

Then remove it or amend it since they don't like it, Don't just do the talking, Let the Action shows that they don't like it.

This guy is the owner of a forum that just clicked 1million members few months ago and he is already showing dictatorial tendencies..imagine this same guy heading a state or a country...his arrogance and naïvety will know no bound!...I shudder at the thought of that..power is indeed intoxicating...whether he changes or modifies the rule doesn't matter..I am not bothered since he aint a christain anyway..
