That's good

And I hope you will remove the warning that appears before a post in the section (Islam for Muslim) as well. That will reduce unnecessary comments anytime a thread from the section is on Front page

Seun: Fellow Nairaland Members,

Your outrage over the unfair appearance of rule 17 has been noted, and so I have decided to strike it down!

Thank you for correcting me and setting me straight. We certainly need to be fair to every religion.

Best Regards,
Seun Osewa.
I demand an apology from you

This man is treating us as if we're in a confinement called NAIRALAND. It's not your fault that many of us have become addictive. If not....these rules.

This is fraud, creating topics unnecessarily just to gather traffic.

The Governor of Nairaland is a very smart person.
He was never in support of rule 17. So in order to do away with it without offending that group of offendables, he makes us protest against it and puts his decision to take it away on our protests. Now the offendables cannot hold him responsible for any offending or offense perpetuated by offenders.

Smart move. On a more serious note everybody should be sensitive enough to not offend other peoples sensibilities whether its religion, politics or ethnicity. But at the same time we must realize that tolerance is a two way street.
If you don't take offense, nobody will offend you.

You don't "strike down" something that is written, You "strike it off".

No offence intended

seun,if Gej did this, you 'd probably joined to call him mr retardeen, week, unstable and on and on and on......now thats how hard it is to be at a focal point where you re sorrounded by 'human' which ofcourse are controversial, and you re percieved as a leader!....my point?...respect leader esp leaders in a religiously domineering country like nigeria.

I've known you since 2006 to be a very intelligent and no nonsense kind of guy. You were never afraid to speak your mind.

So, when rule 17 came up, I suspected foul play. It wasn't a mistake. You were clearly threatened....and you reacted as any mere mortal would.

I don't blame you tho'.

With this new development, Nairaland is going to be a model for a new Nigeria where justice, fair play, respect and growth rules!
