I am not very happy the way things are going in Nigeria. The emergency rule as it is cannot change anything. Those who make comments do not know much about governance or military operations. How is it possible for a governor to be in charge without being the chief security officer of his state? The CDS who does not understand the local politics and terrain and not a member of the regional clique agitating for power rotation will be the chief security officer delegating authority to his officers.

That might be possible in some regions but not in other region. An executive governor cannot be a siddon look governor. When the issue of amnesty was raised, a former governor of Kano State, Shekarau, said they have never requested for amnesty from F.G.He made a satire of FG amnesty. If any serving governor belongs to the camp of shekarau with the same mindset governing people of the same mindset, then, this kind of state of emergency in that state will be a total failure.

South South and indeed the ijaw nation and all other tribes are watching the event as they unfold. The opposition parties are using this opportunity to condemn Jonathan, Governors forum is becoming another parallel government having executive and legislative power to show the direction of governance. I think NGF should be the most powerful CSO in Nigeria today, except the national assembly will remind them that they have no constitutional power.

From my own point of view, Amnesty is not the solution, what the Boko Haram and the cult that claimed they killed heavily armed policemen with cutlasses want is power.

Jonathan should exercise the power vested on him as the president to solve this problem. Whatever the consequence will be burnt by everybody. This will make us to know if we will exist as a nation or not. He should forget about 2015 for now.

Nobody or group can determine who governs Nigeria. Only God and the people should determine.
