mak4c4c: I have been dating this girl for a while now and have done everything to show that I am serious about her and hoping to get married to her, I have even introduced both our parents and it was a very good day that day. However I have been having serious doubts about our relationship, a lot of things she does do not sync as someone who is on the same platform as me and not very straight, the worst is that she hates feedbacks and call them insult leading me to wonder if this is how it would be in marrg. I would not dwell on all the shortcomings as I understand no one is perfect, even me. However one day I asked her what if something happens and I am no where to be found for 2 years what would she do; mind you this was totally hypothetical and I stressed to her that it would never be the case. Her answer shocked me... She said she wouldnt know until such a thing happens... call me old fashioned but I believe in unconditional love, the type parents have for their kids, otherwise I wouldnt have gone out of my way to even proove and convince her of my geniune intentions; this relationship has cost me friends and even up to the extent that someone tried to harm me; that's history though.
I felt maybe I was overreacting and went on to ask a few friends what if they fall into similar situations with their boyfriend or girlfriend and I got a uniform answer which was ''if I love him, I'll wait for him for 2 years, one went ahead to say, if he was in jail, I'll try to visit or write him a letter from time to time''
