Hi Manlikegb, 1. My visa was obtained in 2015 for visit which I already used same year to attend my friend’s wedding. When I decided to give birth here this year, I emailed the Canadian consulate in UK to ask if I could use the visa for birthing and they said yes but mentioned that the POE officer has the ultimate decision to either let me into Canada or not. 2. No they didn’t make any reference to that. 3. I think the fact that I was honest and I had the correspondence. I had a budget sheet as well that I listed the estimated amount + contingency as someone here advised me to so transparency is key. The asked other questions to ensure I’d be returning after delivery eg my job title, if my company agreed to give me 2 months (so I mentioned that I’m entitled to 52 weeks maternity). They asked if my husband was coming and I said that’s the plan but only if his job permits him. In honesty I didn’t fidget a bit but I can’t tell if any of these mattered or influenced their decision to let me in. They asked how much I have but they never asked to see it♀️♀️ Sorry if I’ve not been able to directly answer your questions. manlikegb: |

Geeagu: @Geeagu, thanks for your response. Its quite helpful. Please, does anyone in the house know the email address of the Canadian Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria? I'm thinking to write to them as well and have the correspondence handy. |

Hotstepper: Kindly help me out with a gynea contact details in oshawa. Thanks alot. Let me give you a brief background about myself because I have been a silent reader of this thread. Infact, i have read all the pages. I am currently about 14weeks pregnant and I intend to submit my visa application via paper application because I heard it is faster. I want to be completely honest in the application and mention my purpose as birthing in a self introductory letter. I do not have anyone to write me a letter of invitation because although I know people in Canada, they would be on vacation around my due date because it is august 21, 2018 during the summer time. I have about 5.2 million in my account. Would that be sufficient as proof of funds? |

Hello everyone, masters of the house. My wife is planning on going to Canada but I do not have relatives out there but she has a couple in Montreal / Quebec. It is her first pregnancy and I have been scouring and calling a lot of places for inquiries. What I have gotten so far is Toronto, Oshawa (seems to be cheaper) or Montreal (can't seem to find anyone been calling all over the place, may be because Im not doing it right). Does anyone have experience of birthing in Montreal / Quebec? If so, what are the requirements and procedures? Thanks in anticipation. |

Thespecialist: Dear Thespecialist Your post came at the right time, thank you so much and thanks to all my seniors in this group lol and our one and only hotstepper alias 'make google your friend' welldone mama. I have been following this threads for quite a while. Me and my family (5) got invited by my blood sister but unfortunately i was the only one granted 4years visa even my baby of 10months old then was not granted in 2016, we re-applied again and they were refused. I had to wait till 2018 feb to travel without my baby now 2years 4months. Now my questions are these 1) i got pregnant last year November to be due by August by God's grace. I will like to birth in canada, can my family re-apply again because they will be on summer break and my hubby cant cope with them alone.(11years, 9years and 2 years (girls)? 2) i want to go to ottawa hospital but my sister dont know anything about them there and am not sure she is ready to go do any findings for me cos she is nursing triplets babies and she hardly go out, can someone pls help me out. I will be waiting for your reply my people, help a sister out, i want to go by June so i need register asap. Thank you. |

Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 4:15pm On Mar 06, 2018 |
Congratulations! you can try and reapply. u probably dont have enough money for the 5 of u or they see it as not having ties since evry member of the family is applying. If your blood sister cannot help u then my dear i dont know ooo. didnt she birth in ottawa? all she needs to do is to register u with the gynea she used via phone nd thats it. u use the hospital of the gynea and thats about that.
