Sometimes words are hard to put together that perfect line to express joy to show appreciation. Sincere 9gerian, u have done well in puting together some of the achievements of GEJ administration on NL.
I'm waiting to read comments from Eko Ile, Berem, Lacasa, "sincerenigerian", dayo, Texas cowgirl etc.

Are you speechless? The list is not even exhaustive. I'll still add more projects in the coming days.

When I said the unregistered APC was DEAD ON ARRIVAL, some of you thought I was joking. Most of the APC e-warriors have gone under. I wonder why you'v not followed suit

Numbers 1 and 2 are quite funny; sacking someone is actually a great feat. If GEJ was sincere about stopping election malpractice, how come he fought Salami and later succeeded in disposing him? Salami, as the head of the Appeal court ensured that all the states rigged by PDP was returned to the rightful winners and consolidated the victories of other parties against PDP when they came to his tribunal.

Numbers 3 to 19 are all about the same thing; Locomotive train moving at a speed of less than 80km/hr.

20 to 31 could be summarized into one point: Efforts are being made to increase the power output of the country.

Honestly, I don't see why you're making unnecessary duplication of the same point. The rest are just the usual politics of awarding and re-awarding contracts without its execution.

All I see is crap, crap and an unnecessary duplication of crap!

You can create a thread of mis-deeds of the govt if you like. No one has said the govt is perfect. But this particular thread is about the positives of the govt.

By the way, have you looked at the demands of ASUU? The budget of the whole education sector this year is about N400billion while the TOTAL federal budget is about N5trillion but ASUU is asking for another N400billion for the universities alone. ASUU is also asking that FG should also fund state universities. Why should states establish universities only for FG to fund them? Is like asking a man to pack another man's poo. If the states cannot fund their universities they should establish any. And if we use N1trillion (out of N5trillion total budget) to fund education alone, what about health, roads, power, agriculture, infrastructure, etc?

I hope you know it was the Yar Adua's govt that signed those ridiculous agreements? I wonder whether the people from the govt side that signed the agreement were in stupor when they did

But bottomline, it is nothing unusual for ASUU, ASUP or whatever unions to be on strike. Strike arises from disagreement and it is the responsibility of all parties to sit down and continue talking until the disagreement is resolved.

Meanwhile, stay on the topic

From the first republic up to this fourth republic (under OBJ and Yar Adua) the biggest problem and greatest threat to democracy has always been flawed elections. The crisis of the 1965 and subsequent coups and counter coup were DIRECTLY related to the electoral process of that period. The coup of 1983, took place few weeks after the 1983 fraudulent elections.

Now, for the FIRST TIME in the history of this country, we have a president that marched words with actions in terms of COMPLETELY reforming the electoral process. No matter how hard you try, you cannot and can NEVER dismiss this great feat.

Justice Salami does not work in INEC. Justice Salami was formerly the court of appeal president,ie in the judiciary. The judiciary is a different and INDEPENDENT arm of govt. Least we forget, it was infighting in the judiciary that led the NJC (the regulatory body in the judiciary) to suspend Justice Salami. The President is not a member of the NJC neither does he control them. When the NJC later resolve its internal fighting and tried to recall Salami, the case was already in court and politicians on both sides of the divide (PDP and ACN) have politicised the whole thing.

But this thread is not about Salami.

On the other issues you raise, I'm not ready for another endless debate on the railways. I love the FACT that the railways are back, moving passengers (REAL PEOPLE, not anonymous internet rats) and goods. This is a FACT. You can cry and hate as much as you want, thats your business.
