Cubeet: What you problem with their interferance. Do you want to compare Nigeria to China? China was just an example. The fact that you find nothing wrong with interferance is exactly the reason why they can interfer in your own business. |

Ofcourse the US should interfer when d Nigerian education sector is in crisis, this is because in such situations d US is either directly or indirectly affected. If u can take a trip to the US embassy,u would find out that d number of Nigerian students applying for visa to go and study in d US would have increased since d onset of d strike, also d US is interested in d business of educating Nigerians because she understands perhaps better than Nigeria, that an individual without d right kind of education is a threat to world peace.Talkn about islamic education and islamic nations, well Nigeria is NOT and will NEVER be an islamic nation, and am sure d islamic nations u are referring to are d developed ones like Saudi arabia,Qatar, etc, how abt d underdeveloped ones like Niger republic, sudan and d likes, have they faired any better? eddiebruk: |

This was the reason why i choose to use Nigeria as a case study,..since there is a situation in this country that thinks Islamic Education is necessary, so if you will understand my point, if not for our weak Educational system...there really would have been no need for a third party interference, there were programs that are in place that deals with our English ability when it comes to studying abroad like TOEFL AND the rest which are international recognized as an entry requirement for Visa applicants wishing to study abroad but still a lot of English countries still think a Nigeria visa applicants still need to be TOEFL Certified before being given a visa even when they know that Nigeria is an English speaking country...just because we have different cultures. |

Why do so many people complain when the US asks the Nigerian government to do things that make life better for Nigerians? The comments about homosexuals and abortions are irrelevant. The majority of US citizens want women to have reproductive freedom, because no one wants to pay to feed and house their unplanned kids. The children are the ones to suffer. People in the US don't have the fear of gays/lesbians that Nigerians do. They are harmless to society and all the straight people don't intend on becoming homosexuals, so it's only a problem for people that aren't sure which way they want to roll. Diplomacy is not new and has worked well over the years. If Nigerians were empowered (gun ownership and organized anti-government campaign), the US wouldn't have to say anything at all. Just sayin . . . . . |

We have degraded ourselves to the point that we no longer have control of our destiny. US has been encouraging corruption in Nigeria and propping up our corrupt PDP govt for 15years now; In that time, we have been given them all our state and military secrets and they have been feeding our corrupt PDP governments with damaging IMF loans that we do not need, to the extent that they (US) now feels they practically own Nigeria which not far from the truth. Many do not realise that US in now the most powerful oil producing nation alongside Saudi Arabia and has ability to cause a sharp drop in oil prices at any time it chooses. Just consider for a moment what may happen in Nigeria if oil prices suddenly falls by 50%. This is why US are behaving like they own Nigeria our destiny is now in their hands. God bless Nigeria |
