Yes oh,we must celebrate our country because we are better off than some countries like Somali,Sri-lanka,Syria just to mention a few and remeber that America did not achieve all the have in 50yrs,it took more than 150yrs after indepence so please people be patient with Nigeria.Even though we dont have anything tangible,we should atleast celebrate our independence from the whites because it wasn't easy for our forefathers to acheive that.
GOD BLESS ME!!!
GOD BLESS DELTA STATE!!!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!

It is a waste of money, time and energy.

And only the elite gets to celebrate with our money. It makes no sense. at all

this same question has always been asked since i can remember...Nigeria may not be exactly what we want it to be right now, but there has been a considerable increase in growth and development rate. So yes, the little we have is worth celebrating

dvdon: If u are a true and patriotic Nigerian, you shouldn't be asking such a question.

If u believe in God and the bright future of Nigeria can start from you, you shouldn't ask such a question.

If you sit down and think even if for just a minute on how to start improving this nation, u wouldn't be asking this question.

Even if we are dissapointed so far with the mode of leadership in Nigeria, we shouldn't be hopeless rather we should pray and celebrate every single day in anticipation of a great expectation.

Long live Nigeria God bless u.
Mind u,I'm a TRUE,LOYAL and PATRIOTIC citizen of this country and i pray everyday 4 dis country,i also believe and have Faith in GOD. It's just that d situation we are in PRESENTLY,is so depressing and fraustrating 4 us 2 start thinking of celebration.I ask dis question 2 know our views on how 2 move dis country 2 a greater height and i also want 2 know ur views on how u feel about 2morrow, IS IT WORTH CELEBRATING OR NOT,SIMPLE!! .I believe we can all contribute our quota 2ru dis platform, u never can tell if d president is reading dis.And i also beleive dat one day Nigeria will rise among the Greatest countries of d World. Thanks 4 d criticism and HAPPY INDEPENDENCE IN ADVANCE!!.
