I won't lie, I used to feel this way about Jamaican men. I think it had a lot to do with the ones I grew up (excluding Rastas and a few uncles). Over familarity meant I thought I could second guess and foresee potential flaws. If you are Nigerian, then this may be the case.

I'll assume your fear stems from what you've heard and those you've come in contact with, but you don't need to generalize. Men are humans, and there are good and bad ones everywhere(Nigeria or whatever continent). You just need to trust that you've met a gold guy and take it on from there. No point being afraid if you haven't tested them.
