Baba in all honestly, I find it a bit strange why a person will use the wrong oil for Range rover sport, when the price of the Engine fit bankrupt bank. grin grin grin, as I dey so nah me mst buy my Oil myself,I nor dey 4 stories that touch, I don see the real cost of these Engines and the work to even remove them nor B child's play!

I quite agree with u my brother. I always ensure I buy high quality octane fuel for my Range Rover sports cos of the long term consequences of low quality fuel. Usually I insist on buying fuel from either of Mobil, Oando or NorthWest and some other quality filling station. Since I got my SUV last year, I can only ember a couple of time that I had to buy fuel from anyhow filling stations and didn’t feel too good about it.

One of the greatest problems in this country is that even big men( rich men) like to cut corners on very serious issues. There are still some Range Rover Brand owners that will always buy low quality fuel for their car instead of the recommended fuel. When you try to warn them of an impending damage to their vehicles, they claim to know better than the specialist in this case. I remember when I used a MB C220 for three years and never missed the 3000 miles standard for service of the machine at Mobil filling station, someone using a Range Rover Sport asked why I was wasting money coming to Mobil service station for service every two months. I politely told him that I was saving two things: my engine life and my personal life in the long term. The guy was shocked and thought I was making fun of him and even got angry. I beckoned on him to follow me to my car where I showed him a bold sign close to the radiator where the recommended oil was boldly written: Mobil 1. Fast forward he has parked that Range Rover and I have moved on to buy another C230. This is to give credence to your statement that the main cause of the dearth of Range Rover on Nigerian roads is caused by the owners.
I agree, cars with such temperament require close attention to details as specified by manufacturers, we cant go messing about and trying cheap stuff o n it.

Shocking but true. And this will be a subtle warning to owners of Evoque. As freelander be. na so we dey see Evoque o. It does not manage our fuel at all at all. Always use Octane Booster if you have one.
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by sobanti15: 4:00am On Nov 12, 2017
Just 2 quick questions:
1. Where exactly can I get this Octane Booster to buy in Lagos AND how is it used?
2. What oil is needed for a 2013 RRS Autobiography Supercharged AND where exactly in Lagos can I get it to buy?

Thank you

I am sure this range rover velar must be using racing or premiun rating type of fuel. If anyone brings this vehicle to naija. Hmm! Our fuel would damage the lifecycle of this vehucle. Let's not even talk about the engine oil.

Your car requires 0w20 Castrol edge and it is available in Lagos. Octane booster is also available too and it requires that you add it to your fuel everytime you fill up your tank. Saw your Dm but you can call me on 08098534367

The oil is available here but the owners of the brand are not meticulous in getting the right one for their vehicles. There is only premium fuel for these cars but the owners prefer to go ahead with the fuel in town. Octane boosters are made in the US where they have premium fuel. They still use it especially for AMG and Supercharged cars but here, we dont bother.

Of course it is made in the UK. This spec is diesel powered and it does not have the finese of the petrol powered US spec. They did not even give it the Velar front grill.

Really, lemme Google it sharply. I dunno why i still have feelings for that vehicle called The 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged version. That car zoomed past us on my way back to Nigeria from Ghana. It felt as if we were crawling with our driver doing close to 120 km/hr. We never saw the tail lights of this vehicle again. That scene left a scar on me for a very long time and in my mind i was like " yes, that's a supercharged RR right there"

Re: Range Rover Sports Club by MrTour: 8:17pm On Nov 26, 2017
Hello guys, please can you advise on the most preferable for these two Range Sports, i want to buy one out of these two but need to know the real difference between HSE and SE. The black one is HSE and the white one is SE.

The black one sell for N22m while the white sell for N19m. I really need to know if its worth buying it directly from outside Nigeria or i can buy it cheaper in Nigeria.

Re: Range Rover Sports Club by sooperrescue(m): 11:05pm On Nov 26, 2017
From the look of both cars, the hse is bigger and better equipped than the se. A case in point is the vogue se sold by Coscharis and the vogue hse imported from America. They are not in the same category. The hse has a lot of options that the se does not have. Go for the hse. If you do price comparison, most times, it is cheaper to buy locally
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by LeJeun3: 12:02am On Nov 27, 2017

The HSE usually sports a V8 supercharged engine while the SE comes with the base V6 3.0 supercharged engine......

Reason for price difference.

Good morning guys please I have 2 range rovers sports 2006 and 2007, the 2006 petrol I bought and used for over a year then the engine got bad, so I bought a diesel one bcuz the petrol engine was expensive and also consumed a lot bcuz so I later on bought a diesel 2007 which got bad with 6months apparently the guy who sold me the diesel had repaired the engine before and I didn't know. So I wanna repair both cars and sell one but I wanna replace the original engines with either a Bmw m57(diesel) and for the petrol range I was thinking of using a jaguar s-type v6 or some kind of Toyota v6 or v8, please suggest any better engine other than the ones I have stated which could be better for the swap, I still want the automatic transmissions.
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by sooperrescue(m): 5:01pm On Nov 28, 2017
I am coughing o ...... That turbo issue with d diesel? Dont fret yourself about these Rrs, and dont ruin the brand with all those engines you are talking about. How many jaguars are on the road? Call me and let us find a solution. The petrol can be fixed. I don't understand how expensive it is to maintain a Sport except the guys fixing your car are not supposed to be fixing it. Get in touch
