you can see how they have sent him to be 1 out of the 3 dcp's in edo state. under normal circumstances the kind of appointments ribadu can hold are:

1. public relations officer to EFCC
2 a state dcp
3 as the assistant to the IG of police
4 chief security officer to the president or vice president
5 as a staff officer at police head quarters

all other kinds of appointment are supposed to be beyond his reach, meaning the system deems him unexperienced for any other appointment. hes lucky they did not sent send him to be a dcp in a remote part of jigawa, taraba or yobe state (I'm not even sure if they have light, water, telephone or tared road in some of those areas.
when you sign up for govt service you should be willing to work in any part of the country as posted. the queitest officers get the plum jobs in lagos and abuja, the noise makers like ribadu end up with remote appointments in remote areas, when they can do no harm.

infact hes lucky they didnt send him to poilce college to be an instructor there because in the system if you want to prove to be "i too know" or "too loud" they will just post you to a training school as an instructor or to one remote part of the country or to a base/unit that has little or no relevance and is so dry e.g police records office
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by cre8tivity(f): 7:21pm On Nov 26, 2008
he's a luckyman indeed, he's lucky that one or two people still recognize the great things he has done in the past. he could have been posted as an instructor for the next 6 years. you can never win a fight against a govtmnt that is controlled by 95% of your enemies. i just wonder how long it would take ribadu to recognize this fact. fighting for your right and fighting for your people is cool, but one must not be a big fool, because the same people you're fighting for will be the ones to stone you to death. and they will move on without any problem
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by komekn(m): 3:38pm On Nov 28, 2008
The righteous will face persecution. its a written and accepted given.

I am bewildered by the the stand point of Jimmy jam, if you can qualify it by calling it a standpoint, i wonder if you are part of a PR machine calling blue to be red and light to be darkness.

Ribadu in spite of the limitations and restrictions placed on him by the same corrupt powers that be, he made a difference never seen before.

Did he follow due process ? whatever that may be, do you think Ibori, Odili, Obasanjo, etc, etc followed due process to steal their billions ? under the circumstances he would be an ass to follow a flawed corrupted process, that was not complementary but directly obstructive to the fight against corruption. Thank God he did not follow due process very wise indeed.

Truth is Truth process or no process, technicality, bureaucracy, policy and procedure should not negate the TRUTH. Look how the AG Aondoakaa, has followed DUE PROCESS to weaken the case of the convicted petty thief and former governor for money laundering in the UK, come on WHO IS FOOLING WHO
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 8:14pm On Nov 28, 2008
Obsano stole a lot of money yes i agree but he has immunity from prosecution so does any other president or vice president in nigeria because the laws see's it fit that they will occasionally have to act above the law in order to carry out thier duties.

ribadu on the other hand does not have immunity!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 1:16am On Nov 29, 2008
komekn the system of beurocracy, policies, proceedures have been in place even before ribadu joined the force. usually only a head of state , minister, or service chief can change the policy, system, proceedure, terms, technicality, process, and conditions as they apply.

however the service chiefs do not want the system to change because they went through it for at least 30 years before they got to the top so they suffered through the system so they want others to go though the same thing. you see service to the county is a sacrifce, its not by force and its not for your own popularity but for the advancement of the nation.

thats why i said if ribadu does not like the policies, proceedures, beurocracy etc then he should feel free to pull off his uniform, tender his retirement papers and go into politics or business.

ribadu knows it that for now the best thing for him is to remain in the uniform because of the opportunities that  are available in the force. if he goes into politics theres nothing guaranteed and theres a risk of not being elected. personlly i don't see ribau seeking office however i see him as an adviser to a top political figure, i see him as a minister or the head of a parastatal but, i don't see him as a governor, senator or president , hes more the executive type not the legislative or judicial type meaning hes an action guy!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 1:31am On Nov 29, 2008
RIBADU IS LIKE AN AIRFORCE OFFICER THAT DOES NOT WANT TO REMAIN IN FORMATION WITH THE OTHER PLANES IN THE SQUADRON!

RIBADU WANTS TO LEAD THE SQUADRON WHEN HE HAS NOT OFFICIALLY BEEN APOINTED SQUADRON LEADER, NEITHER IS HE NEXT IN LINE IN SENIORITY TO LEAD THE SQUADRON, NEITHER HAS THE CURRENT SQUADRON LEADERS PLANE BEEN SHOT DOWN, BUT YET HE DOES NOT WANT TO REMAIN IN FORMATION, HE MUST BE DRUNK, POWER DRUNK!

ONCE THAT FLIGHT OFFICER (RIBADU) GETS BACK TO BASE HE WILL BE COURT MARTIALED, DEMOTED AND RELEGATED TO DEMEANING DOMESTIC DUTIES LIKE COOKING FOR OTHERS, CLEANING TOILETS, SWEEPING THE COMPOUND ETC UNTIL HIS COMMANDER IS SATISFIED AND CONVINCED THAT THE OFFICER HAS CHANGED HIS ATTITUDE TO HIS JOB, HIS RANK AND HIS APPOINTMENT, IF NOT HIS COMMANDING OFFICER WILL HELP HIM TO FACILITATE HIS LEAVING THE FORCE!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 1:43am On Nov 29, 2008
ribadu has not yet experienced real police job, if they should post him to one remote part of the country in taraba state where camerounian gendames or armed robbers in a rural area will come to a police station , outnumber all the policemen there and tell the dcp, acp, inspector etc to pull off their uniforms ,strip naked and lie down on the floor, they will cart away all their watches, money and the guns in the police station in some cases they will release the prisoners in the cell and even demand the key to the police vehicles there!

in some of those remote places there is no light, no water, no telephone, no tarred roads, no toilets, no pipe borne water. and some of the police stations are in the middle of a nowhere forest and bush where there is no evidence of human life for kilometers

infact in some of those places there is no mama put food joint or restaurant close buy, the policemen there have to plant yam or some crops near the police station , they when harvest and cook the food and, they also have to catch bush rat as a source of meat and roast or catch fish in a near by pond and cook it themselves lol

let ribadu tell us if he will be able to handle such a place! he has enjoyed abuja in an a/c office with nice accomodation for police etc but let them transfer him to a place where he will be frustrated to leave the police thats when he will know if hes a nigerian police officer or not!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 11:20pm On Dec 06, 2008
too many officers in nigeria even in the private companies, sit in their office and barracks gisting and rumour mongering, instead of pickup up a book or something to occupy their time.  its from both of these idle activities that issues like  disrespect, insuburdination, coup plot, ethinc argument, enemies and friends and other squabbles start!

Its out of such idleness that ribadu decided to formulate EFCC.

Sometimes the officers can be drinking beer together in their home in the barracks and  arguing about political goings on, women, sports etc until someone says something stupid that will cause people to start taking sides, soon the two groups of officers are not talking to each other at work because of the argument the previous day and before you know it they are trying to out do each other in a power show.

They soon start getting more officers on their side and before you know it , it turns to coup plot or accidentally shooting a fellow officer over what started as a healthy political argument!

this is what i call joblesseness in the system and i warn officers, men or civilians that as soon as you see such joblessness in you rplace of work or even in fellow co workers house stear clear of it!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 8:53pm On Dec 08, 2008
can you people see, ribadu has gone awol. apparently some of his freinds in sss had told him of a plot to arrest him if he resumed duties on monday!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by cre8tivity(f): 9:07pm On Dec 08, 2008
if  we want to see great nigeria in our life time, ribadu shouldn't be allowed to have it his way. it isn't burger king, it is a country that has rules and regulations. the sad part of the whole thing is, the people that are directly responsible for this rubbish are still walking freely in and outside of the country. eg obasojo and the former inspector general of police should also face fire. if ribadu wasn't illegally promoted, we wouldn't be discussing this such topic
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by Muza(m): 1:31am On Dec 10, 2008
you guyz really need to open your eyez to see Ribadu for who he really is,
an arrogant,self centered,selfish,corrupt human being.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 7:59pm On Dec 13, 2008
ribadu is crazy that boy is putting himself deeper and deeper into trouble how can he now show up at EFCC office in abuja just to return some documents that the new chairman has demanded from him, snd to say he came to clear his name.

could he not send the documents through somebody, or could he not request a leave for a short while from his new commisioner to attend to any EFCC query instead of going awol. it has been one week now that he has not reported to edo for his new appointment, the state commisioner of police there must have sent him a query letter by now! thats why i said that boy has no experience, neither did he pass police exam!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 8:11pm On Dec 13, 2008
ribadu has to realize that the higher you climb and the longer you stay in an organization, the more important documents you will receive on your table at the office.

but ribadu because he cannot wait, wants to start receiving the kind of documents the IG or National Security Adviser receives. a clerk or accountant does not revieve the kinds of documents the MD of a company receieves. the MD recieves more sensitive documents than the accountant. so ribadu should calm down and stop creating a scene or noise around him!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 8:15pm On Dec 13, 2008
nuhu will tell us which journalist will follow him to cover stories of him fighting armed robbers in a rural part of the country , not a single one of them will even go there not to talk of providing him news coverage there!

nuhus problem is that he wants to be known and recognized as a leader of thought in nigeria that the press can come to for consultation, he wants to be like a retired political general, however its not possible because he is not yet even a senor police officer, he may have held a political post but that still does not make him a leader of thought in nigeria. its like a 15 yr old boy wanting to be IG of police, its impossible!

jimmyjam:

nuhu will tell us which journalist will follow him to cover stories of him fighting armed robbers in a rural part of the country , not a single one of them will even go there not to talk of providing him news coverage there!

this so true, the guy loves publicity so so much,he cannot live wit the fact that nobody will report his daily activities. grin
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 1:18am On Dec 18, 2008
The IG of police has said it recently that nuhus promotion was the wrong way to recognize his acheivements and contribution , but that a national award such as MON, OON etc would be ideal for him.

but what i can tell you is that the presidency most likely will not approve him for any award until all the allegations before him have been resolved and settled.

besides he will natural be messed up by jealousy because no other officer up to the rank of AIG will have mni and oon to their name.

when they want to mess up people like ribadu in the force what they do is to give him a lot of work until he decides to leave by himself i,e they will over assign him to too many job functions at work and he will just be frustrated to leave.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 5:01pm On Dec 25, 2008
I hop all can now see, nuhu has officially been given a dismissal letter. this is how they do in the system when they want to dismiss an person they usually dismiss the person just before a holiday or on friday before the weekend.

nuhu just disgraced himself, what will he tell his children when they point to the picture of him as an AIG and the picture of him when he wore DCP uniform, they will say "daddy why does your old uniform not look as nice as your new uniform" lol

all nuhus effort has resulted to zero because unlike an officer that is being retired he will not be entitiled to pension, he will not be entitled to a pistol, he will not be entitled to free medical care at police hospitals etc

and worst of all nuhu will not be able to be appointed or run for any political post. so you can see that the people against him know where the source of his power comes from i.e from his commisson as a police officer.

once your have been dismissed from any govt service or impeached you cannot be nominated, appointed nor can you run for political office and appointments. so this is the beggining of the end for nuhus politial and govt future.

only the head of state can reverse the PSC's decision and change it to simple retirement since he is the commander in chief.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 5:28pm On Dec 25, 2008
Please see the official dismissal letters in the link below. The one approved by the presidental adviser on police affairs on behalf of the head of state, and the one directly from psc.

Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 5:56pm On Dec 25, 2008
the reality is that nuhu was summond to four places for query at the same time (PSC, IG. Edo, and EFCC)  within a 2 week span and he could not respond to all four places at the same time. infact even the minister of police and special adviser on police affairs where abou to setup thier own investigation of his various issues.

If he had reported to the IG as soon as he finished his course as stated in the letter directing him to go on course at nipss he may have been assigned to force hq but he didnt so the IG was annoyed because of that and deemed it fit to post him to edo state.

but it was virtually impossible for him to remember that he was to report to the IG when he was arrested by SSS during his award ceremony because he was not expecting the arrest, he was dazed, perplexed and confused.

also by the time he came out of SSS cell in abuja he was given a letter to report to EFCC for query.

so basically they sidetracted him! this is prooof that its expereinced officers and consultants on psychology that are advising the top guys on how to manipulate him. some of those people have been paid by his enemies or may even be his enemies themsleves to plan it like that.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 6:25pm On Dec 25, 2008
you see its the nigerian press and women that make officers and people to thirst for power. the press pay homage to those who have power and money so much that it makes all other nigerians feel irrelevant, unknown, unimportant and non-significant  despite their contribution and nobody likes to feel irrelavant, unknown and non-significant.

and this is why officers and people in corporate nigeria sit down in thier office focusing all thier energy on how to get a particular rank. appointment, promotion, recognition.

its partly out of seeking relevance that coups are planned, its out of seeking relevance that ribadu formulated EFCC i.e he wanted to be known as a top senior police officer who was in an appointment that is doing something relevant to the society.

he was doing this because, he, like most nigerians believe that only top military or political figures are regarded as popular and leaders of thought and issues in the country.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 6:30pm On Dec 25, 2008
The press and therefore nigerians does not recognize the woman with 5 children selling boli and groundnut to the IG and throusands of police personnnel  infront of force headquarters so that they can survive by feeding.

the press does not recognize the police constable who is risking his life at a checkpoint for 1 million people in a neighbourhood.

The press does not recognize lance corpral xyz for bravery and gallantry in liberia only the field commander is recognized. mentioned and known to the press and therefore nigerians.

The press does not put in the front page of the newspaper the homeless orphan of age 6 years old, who decides to become a yellow fever during rush hour in lagos or abuja traffic.

such  people are national heros as well, they deserve front page newspaper pictures, national honours, awards and cash bonuses!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 6:17pm On Jan 07, 2009
If im to pinpoint exactly what caused nuhu to get on the wrong path its the following two factors:

-his wife
-his friends and collegues

his wife-
his wife who ovbiously wants to come to his work place and be called madam, also she wants make sure everyone is saluting her husband and calling him sir at work.
she also does not want to come and meet her husband in a small room where he will be sharing with other officers , she wants to meet him in his own office complete with advisers and assitants at his beck and call. and she wanted this because all her friends would be saying the same thing that "you know your people are now in power o, so you better tell your husband to go and meet obasanjo for somthing or some appointment"

his friends and collegues-
his friends would say the something like "nuhu you know your people are now in power, why dont we start someting like a special task force or someting that will allow us get rapid promotion , appoitments and national honours while we can" they will continue saying "you cant allow us to remain unknown in this small office like this we have to become popular in this force and in the country, us doing contracts and making money is not enough"
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 1:38am On Jan 20, 2009
you see nigerian women they will never show up in thier husbands office , if he is not the boss. if they post the man to a far rural place they will say i will stay in lagos, abuja or port harcourt. but as soon as the man becomes the chief of army staff or the md of the company or wins an election, they will show face immediately. by which time the man already has another wife who was with him through the thick and thin and this ends up in fight between the two women.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 7:18am On Feb 17, 2009
look at how you can tell that aaondoaka has a personal hatred for ribadu, because the boy was overstepping his seniority and his legal prowess etc.

aaodoaka highlighted that ribadus mates are still suprintendent of police, which is equivalent to army captain . have you ever seen an army captain promoted to brigadier overnight? it has never happend but this is the kind of thing that ribadu tried to get away with.

also you can tell from this article that obasanjo and the psc trapped ribadu. because obj recommended promotion for ribadu to the psc, however it did not specify what rank for promotion.

its the jelousy of his fellow officers, jelousy by some members of the judiciary, his rude behaviour, his wife pushing him, his friends pushing him that caused him all this etc

please read the article, its below

Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 3:50pm On Apr 07, 2009
what they did to ribadu is known as spiritual distraction, and i define it below

It is a situation whereby person A knows that there is something about to go on with person B and in order to prevent the person from achieving/benefiting something, person A will then create either a real or simulated (i.e fake) activity that will make the person forget what they are doing or where they are or what they are missing out on.

e.g person A may know that somebody has told person B to meet them at a place at 1pm to collect money or else they miss the money. so person A out of jelousy can bring a fine lady or a new car, getting them angry or some form of distraction at about 2pm. soon person B will have forgotten about his appointment and from there miss thier benefit.
