he really needs a psychiatrist because it also shows that as a young boy his parents used to lock him up whenever he misbehaved and its haunting him , so he has to reflect on it by locking others up. He may actually be misbhaving on purpose so that he will be locked up, that way it will remind him that hes still loved by his parents/grandparents i.e h will be in his natural childhood habitat (locked up and crying). It also shows that he used to hang around a lot of old people as a child thats why he can't get along well with his original age mates and wants to hang around his seniors.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 4:58am On Aug 29, 2008
nuhu is actually ashamed of his rank for his age (even though he will not admit it openly) because nuhu is what in the armed forces is termed a "direct service officer" i.e an officer that first went to a university before going to a police/military academy. at his age of around 43 now it would take him 12 years to get to DIG by which time h may be eligible for retirement depending on the policy in effect i believe the retirement age ranges from 55 to 65 years old.  they could even ask him to make up for the years he did not complete as am acp and this may lead him to be a dcp for 6 years instead of 3 years.

the wise saying "anything not aquired through the proper means/channels/procuures will surely not stand the test of time ie will not last"

sometimes its better you look just ahead at your feet more frequently than you glance at the horizon because you may trip over a stone (PSC, ICPC etc) besides the horizon is still far away.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 5:28am On Aug 29, 2008
i.e nuhu should take examle from the likes of various officers such as IBB, Abdulasalaam, Buhari Abacha, Obasanjo etc they all waited for thier time none of them was double promotod at least until they became head of state.

officers like nuhu who are too ambicious do not last long in govt service neither do they gt to the top e.g al mustapha, abubakar umar, marwa, brig-gen Sabo (abachas director of DMI) , so it may be better nuhu retire and go into politics

an officer that is too ambicious shows various signs like over sabi, wearing too many decorations/over dressed, badges etc, wanting appointments before seniors, talking to seniors anyhow, they usually challenge the system or proceedure of things, frequently get in power tussle with others or takes sides during a fight of 2 senior officers (which should not concern them in the first place) etc
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 1:35am On Aug 30, 2008
Nuhu feels that he is indispensible in nigeria, he must remember that its God who made him and anything he has is by the grace of God, so he should not think its because of his performance, its God using him to be anticorrupt. he should not also think that without him the nigerian police cannot survive or nigeria will not progress. before h joind police nigerian was moving , even if he leaves police things will still be moving. IBB is no longer commander in chief or president but yet nigeria is still nigeria!

@limmyjam,
No one is indispensable and i dont think nuhu feels that way. The man did well for himself and Nigeria. I just feel the treatment he got is bad.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 4:04pm On Sep 18, 2008
you cannot finish all your bullets/ammunition at once in war i, if ribadu has headed efcc as an ACP , then what kind of appointment will he hold as a DIG because by then posts such as NDLEA etc will appear too small for him!

If you are junior in an organisation and you have connections, then use your connections to help your seniors that you like to get to an appoitment so that you can work under that person without stress.

nuhu should have recommended a DIG that he liked to obj and he should have told the DIG to appoint him (ribadu) as the public relations officer,  but under G (behind closed doors it would be ribadu calling the shots to the DIG. this is why i said ribadu did not pass the police college exam, because if he did he would have plannd it well.

the DIG ribadu could have recommended would have eventually helped ribadu along his career by recommended and endoresed him for various top posts in his career with officers that the DIG knew, ribadu would then take those that the DIG wants to help into police to be under ribadus wing this is how things have historically been done. Its supposed to be a tit for tat system but ribadu wants to solo shine, outshine and overshine and now he is shining so much that the shine is blinding him!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by komekn(m): 5:41pm On Sep 18, 2008
Jimmyjam I am completely lost with your supposed rationality in relation to Ribadu.

What did the age of Methuselah have to do with Wisdom of Solomon?

Precedent Chioma Ajunwa was rewarded with an instant double promotion to SP as recognition of her feats in winning Olympic Gold an act of excellence, just as was Sunday Bada; this can now without contention be considered as established convention in Nigeria.

Longevity has no bearing on excellence or is it commensurate with merit, ability, and or exceptional performance. The intended purpose of the PSC has become warped in political manipulations and the good friend corruption. What the PSC should have done was to recognise Ribadu unequalled contribution to the fight against corruption, confirm, ratify and approve his promotion, but then how can the blind lead those that have eyes to see.

Everybody is seeing at least the greater majority of us and we all know that it’s just another day for the thieves and gangs of rogues in power; nobody is fooled by the pointless baseless rhetoric and nonsensical propositions that the PSC and a few others are putting forward.

We are not fooled because we are not foolish, Ribadu your time will come God deh. shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 3:21am On Oct 17, 2008
komekn you or anybody can say what ever you like but idealism and wishhful thinking will remain idealism and wishful thinking while facts and reality will remain facts and reality!

and the PSC, EFCC, ICPC, Ministry of justice are just waiting for him to finish his course before they will pounce on him. if ribadu is smart at this point he will go and press button and police headquarters for his transfer to a united nations job as a peacekeeper or at interpol headquaters in geneva or somewhere that way he will what is termed in the armed forces as "hide himself" . this is usually a tactic done by junior officers when they have are being askjed to do to many things by thier seniors or when the officer is in trouble it can also be termed "camoflaguing himself"
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 3:29am On Oct 17, 2008
ribadu was thinking that because his father and grandfather had a good relationship with yar aduas father that he will enjoy same, but its not true actually nuhu is the obnoxious oversabi type while umar yar adua is the calm, friendly type

@Jimmyjam,why can't you look beyond your nose. The corrupt politicians are behind Ribadu's problems, say what ever you like,he never arrested anybody innocent.
People get rewarded all the time based on performance, why can Nuhu bew an exception. There is a bigger conspiracy that you dont even understand.Yaradu'a has no option than play ball because the stollen money got him to power via campaign and donation.Look at what the new EFCC boss said about incomplete files for 31 governors,is that not what she was recruited to do.Try and look at things objectively and dont react like a paid servant.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 5:16am On Oct 21, 2008
lol your attempt to extract more pertinent information and recommendations from me is not working. obviously nuhu put you up to this that is if you are not nuhu himself. but let me ask you this question

can you tell me the governor or the minister or ex-head of state in nigeria that is not currupt in nigeria? they all are!

This proves that crime pays in nigeria. If only you knew that these people are atually like robin hood i.e doing a good deed with some that stolen money. nuhu is still a small boy when it comes to knowing about how they use stolen govt money for international political protection, lobbying, mafias thats the little i can say for now. he was about to open up a can of worms that would disgrace him and the nation! so all past leaders in the country are actually against him that why he can't win!

If IBB is planning on using nuhu or EFCC to protect his wealth in the event of his demise (by appearing to have been probed adequately) IBB's wealth which would in the even of his demise be controlled by his son mohammed babangida could end up in an abacha loot like fracas.

let me tell you the sayings of the wise "God can allow evil and bad men to prosper in their lifetime but their children to the 3rd generation will suffer, their wealth will be taken from them (similar to abachas loot) and spilt up and shared to the children of those that where upright"

It not by power, not by might, but by the spirit. Its not by EFCC, or police, its by what written, prayer etc anticurruption tribunals have tried without much progress because the people who head the tribunals including people like buhar are doing it according to their physical power. any that does not have the blessing of the almighty God shall itself be humbled this is why ribadu and EFCC are now being disgraced. Any idea, progress, labour etc are all in vain without blessing from God!
this is why the bible says take all the glory, take all the power, take all the dominion, , take all the money, i.e for thien is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever, amen!

All money, human life, power etc belongs to God thats why he can disgrace human beings because he can allow people to borrow it for a while but can allow these to be taken at any time.

evidence is the tussle of power between abacha and abiola how both of them ended in sudden death and how both of their families are virtually poor today!

Like Robin Hood!! Robin Hood robbed the rich to give to the poor. Nigerian governmental crooks rob the poor and shove it in their cheeks like chipmunks only for themselves.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 2:47am On Oct 26, 2008
People will brainwash others into thinking that they are the ones who are all powerful, all knowing, the richest, all confident, all supreme etc but its a lie only God has such

ribadu needs prayers in addition to the psychiatric and some of the other solutions i recommended.

Whats the fuss about Ribadu being demoted, in the first place he was a baby sitter to OBJ and never did anything tangible than lock up OBJ's political enemies up.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by lucabrasi(m): 1:10pm On Oct 31, 2008
@jimmyjam
judging from your comments, you know what you r talking about concerning nuhu ribadu and the police force.
nuhu ribadu played the game and it favoured him for a while so he shouldnt really complain if the same thing is threatening to devour him,he had a choice of doing the right thing and risk being removed by obj when he started disqualifying people from running for elections, high handedness e.t.c and doing all of obj's works, dora akunyili is still in govt because her work is still appreciated and she didnt involve herself way too much in politics like nuhu did, for nuhu supporters dont cry for nuhu ribadu,he has made more than enough hundreds of millions,he has connections and he is a very sucessful 43 years old who has achieved what more honest, conscentious, brilliant officers either before or after him have not achieved, ill buy a ticket to nigeria tmorro and enlist in the nigerian police force with my certificate if i am offered the kind of job he had
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by Mamajama(m): 7:42pm On Oct 31, 2008
It’s sad and demoralizing to see how shallow minded some Nigerians can be and ungrateful to a job well done.

Most people are saying Ribadu was used by OBJ, was TAFA Balongun that Rebadu brought down not one of OBJ close entourage?

Statements like that is why some of us abroad see no progress in Nigeria and the nation is just doom.

RIBADU is been victimized for all the high profile cases and people he exposed. A nation that does not reward its citizens for hard work and integrity
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 11:06pm On Oct 31, 2008
God can disgrace and shame human beings who think they are smart. look at america how it is all over the news that china has been borrowing them loans to finance their whole economy and war for the past decade, infact all the bullets and ammunition and military equipment used in iraq was manufactured in china.

Be not wise in your own eyes rather listen and heed simple instruction and follow the right path for getting things done!

The officers that became so called powerful in Nigeria where actually very intelligent but where pretending like they where very dull because a lot of them compared to their mates who they joined the force whom where much more intelligent if you read articles like dawodu.com you will read such there.

Jesus did not choose the religious specialists  (i.e the saducees and pharicees) to be his disciples because they would want to question him on religion and not obey simple instuction.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 11:08pm On Oct 31, 2008
Similarly the heads of states/presidents over the years did not choose the people over the years who would outsmart them but rather those that would obey them i.e those that where unassuming (so they made people think, until they decided to plan counter coups for themselves e.g babangida, murtala muhammed, gowon etc)

gowon was very quiet, humble and unassuming (so he made people think) and was not the most senior officer in the army when he was named head of state by the then supreme military council. infact his seniors such as adeyink adebayo ended up serving under him.

same with abacha he made people think he was a dullard in the various training schools he attended, but how did a dullard become head of state so he was smart.

however the smartness of human beings is their own stupidity and the stupity (simplicity) of God is his smartness
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 9:56pm On Nov 16, 2008
instead of ribadu to ask his seniors and those who had experince how to go about probe panel , he just decided he will do it all by himself.

thats why i said ribadu did not pass police college exam. because if he had experience he should know that he would need to ask help from sss about how they can extract implicating documents that would implicate the people being accused of curruption, but instead ribadu just simply arrests the person and then starts looking for evidence.

you have to use the undercover operatives in sss, dmi and CID who are pretending to be politicians to extract documents, evidence and information that would help to convict the accused. however ribadus national security level does not allow him to know who some of these operatives are thats why i said he is too junior and inexpereinced to handle EFCC.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 4:43pm On Nov 19, 2008
If Ribadu has already received international acclaim as an acp then what kind of media coverage will he recieve when he becomes a DIG, because CNN news coverage will be too small for him at that point!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 4:56pm On Nov 19, 2008
there are some things people including ribadu have to understand about certain concepts:

1. authority: this is when someone has the authority to give orders and those orders are carried out e.g a general can give orders to a major and it will be carried out!

2. power: this is usually the use of physical force to make someone or something change e. g police have the power to arrest, armed forces have the power to defend or attack or the power to shoot, an employer has the power to sack, transfer or employ and employee

3. relevance: people like to feel that their input, what they have to say, ther skill or expereince is important e.g  leaders of thought or experts in a particular area

4.  respect/admiration/complement:  this is when someone gives a due complement to someone else: it can be a junior respecting/saluting a senior or vice versa or even peers/mates respecting each other

5. recognition/rewards: this is when people are given something in e.g by medals or awards, salary, bonus, cash in exchnge for their contribution, skills, expereince, achievements

6  notoriety : this is when one has a stamp of approval from his organization either by virtue of uniform or badge on their cap or they are well known for their skill, experience within their own organization.

7. popularity: this is when one has not only displyed excellent skill in ones organization but that the person has been heard far and wide to posses such skill, knowledge , expereince, power or authority
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 5:04pm On Nov 19, 2008
uusally you first have to get notorized as professional in a particular area  e.g lawyer, accountant, armor officer etc before you get popularized.

most people who venture into politics had distiguished themselves in their field first(even if it was business, accounting, law, engineering, education) before they eventually decided to seek political office. even IBB was known within the nigerian armor corps as one of the most skilled armor officers before he became popular as the chief or army staff. then he became internationally popular when he became president.

ribadu was not notorized and not respected as a professional in the police, but then he still wanted to jump to an appointment that would make him popular on an international level!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 5:30pm On Nov 19, 2008
ribadu is in a vicious power cycle and such people will continue until they get in trouble, read as i explain

, ribadu wants 3 things: respect , recognition and relevance from everyone he come accross and when people don't give him these 3 things he seeks more power and authority hoping that people will give him the 3 things, until he enters problem while seeking more power and authority!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 10:40pm On Nov 23, 2008
I hope you people can now see how they disgraced ribadu what they did was the National security adviser gave the directive that ribadu was to be arrested on the day of his graduation i.e on saturday. the security officer at NIPPS with some policemen, sss and soldiers that where dispatched dragged him, his wife , his children and friends who came to attend the ceremony out of the graduation venue before the cermony even started while all the graduants where seated only for him to find out that there where vehicles from the National security organisations office waiting for him outside the compound of nipps.

the national security adviser sent an intelligence signal and cicular to all intelligence agencies calling ribadu a "dangerous renegade police officer"

when you get such a circular its usually if there are also intelligence reports linking ribadu to a proposed coup plot , meaning they have reason to beleive that if those officer that where demoted are allowed to stay in the force being that they feel disenfranchised they may want to retaliate or revolt against the government.

At this point ribadu is at the mercy of the presidency, NSA, SSS, ICPC, PSC and the minister of jusctice. his charges range from curruption, insubordination (to the minister of justice and other police officers), treason (exposing national secrets to intenational community without prior govt and national security approval) and possibly coup plot planning!
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 11:07pm On Nov 23, 2008
you see general serki mukhtar the current national security adviser is one of the most respected in west africa and africa in terms of intelligence the CIA, MI5 and KGB know him for this. he was the one who hinted abacha that foiled orkars coup, he also knew about shagaris coup and babangidas take over of buhari. Mukhtar is the crown prince of innteligence next to gen aliyu gusau and gen muhammed. He has been involved in every coup planning since muritalas coup so he knows when theres a coup plot brewing! i.e it takes a thief to catch a thief!

Mukhtar is the strongest man in yar aduas govt after him then its yayale ahmed and then ibori. Yar adua has been listening to him very well lately.

Ribadu got into a power tussle with aaondoaka he told aaondoaka that he was not under ministry of justice , that he reported solely to the presidency this was when yar adua told nuhu that he was wrong and this is when nuhu was told to go on course by the IG. Okiro was actaully helping ribadu at that point but ribadu did not know it.

Mukhtar was aware of the incident and mukhtar has planned the national security in such a way that only ministers and presidental advisers have direct access to the president , this left ribau annoyed this is why he is being called a "renegade police officer" i.e an over ambicious , power hungry rebellious officer who is potentially dangerous!

You see mukhtar has been receiving national intelligence reports even when he was in retirement because of the boys that he and some other people like gusau have placed in the various intelligence agencies. infact gusau can get any report he wants today from mukhtar even cia reports about goings on in nigeria and abroad.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by tharma(f): 11:16pm On Nov 23, 2008
JimmyJam or whatever, u are a very corrupt person. Im very sure u are happy witht the way the Nigerian society is. U are a beneficiar, either directly or indirectly of the corruption of Nigerian system. U are, and it is people like u that are our problem. What Nuhu Ribadu did in EFCC was just a mere police work. What do u say to all the police officers that have awards for this award for that, ranks for this ranks for that, but could not stop the crime wave going on in the country? U call that passing exam in the police. Is it about promotion in the Nigerian police that u call merit? Look the problem of Nigeria is people like u that sit down and think age is the order of merit. How long a person stays in a place determine which position he holds, not what he can do and what he knows how to do. How many DIG, AIG, CP DCP do we have in Nigeria? What are they doing? Who is the head of the police money laundary department? Is he not an AIG? What is he doing? Or do u thing police job is to mount road block and collect N5 only?

Let me tell u what Nuhu Ribadu achieve that no other police officer in Nigeria has ever achieved. He created an organization from scratch. He build an institution with international reputation. The fact that we are talking about Ribadu and EFCC today enphasise his achievement.  What did ICPC achieved? ICPC hav being there 2 years b4 EFCC, but nobody even knows about them. Why? because it the same old people, that have outlived their usefulness in the society that are managing the system. Code of conduct tribunal has bn in existance for a long time. People dont even know what is Code of conduct. But they have offices in all the state of the federation doing nothing, but just being promoted year on year. What we want in Nigeria is a fair society, where people are rewarded based on hardwork, ideas, and enterprise. Not where people are reward because they are loyal to their boses. We owe our Loyalty to God, and the society to which we pledge to serve, not to an individual.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by tharma(f): 11:25pm On Nov 23, 2008
I now realize who Im talking to. What a fool u are. What concern us with who Yar'adua listen to. The fact that Yayale is the SGF what do u think people of Maifarin Doki, in Azare are benefiting? Only him and his family and very few individual. What we want in Nigeria is a society where everybody with aspirations and is giving equal opportunity to excell. Not few individuals.

Sarki Mukhtar can pack all the intelligence he need and go to hell.

Yar'adua govt is a complete total failure. Instead of them to focus on the actual thing, they are busy harassing one individual.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 12:23am On Nov 24, 2008
Therma i understand and commiserate with you on this sad event on the arrest of ribadu. but belive it or not they (the senate) actually set trap for ribadu in the constitution. How it was done is, The costitution says efcc is to prosecute all financial crimes in the country, however the same constitution rests the icpc and code of conduct with prosecuting crimes of currupt enrichment and misbehaviour by public officials.

The same constitution says however that the efcc can prosecute miscellanous crimes as directed by the federal government , meaning that ribadu is supposed to have the verbal and written consent of the presidency and FG before he decides to prosecute any govt official (even if its a staff at central bank or Ndidi okereike of nigerian stock exchange). however ribadu did not secure this approval he went about it on his own.

if ICPC or code of conduct is not doing Its job then ribadu being a lawyer should know that he was to seek the verbal and written request of FG and to know to wait for an approval form the FG (i.e from the president and min of justice) before he arrested or prosecute the governors in the tribunal. In short due process as outlined in the constitution was not followed.

so some people are using this ribadus blunder to in-turn prosecute and eliminate him so they can have a field day besides his behaviour is quite rebelious nuhu dosnt know how to hide his anger and outbursts. and they can label you a radical in the system if you dont know how to predend like your not annoyed when you are!

If you dont learn from the mistakes of others you will learn from your own mistakes, ribadu should have made sure he covered all his tracks professionally and he didnt thats why they are finding professional loopholes here and there to use to mess him up.
Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by jimmyjam: 12:38am On Nov 24, 2008
Madam therma you are stating your case to the wrong quarters , the senate , the presidency are there for you to write a letter to about the case, either open letter via media or private letter.

Unless your ribadus wife you should be infavour of doing the right thing and following the right proceedures and ribadu did not , thats why hes being made a scape goat. if we do a survey or vote here you will see that 80% of people beielve that ribadu did not follow due process for everything : for arrest of governors, for creation of efcc, for his promotion etc
