^^^^ The Roma Lazio Rivalry is like no other. It's probabbly the fiercest rivalry known to man.

Lazio fans would rather have their limbs amputated than gift Roma the title.

In 2002, Lazio fans were cheering for Inter so that Roma wont win the title.

Fulham definitely has the advantage especially since Hamburg sacked their coach on Monday and dont have a coach right now.

But football games are played on the field and not on the pages of Nairaland, thats the reason why Chelsea, Arsenal and manure are watching the CL semi finals and finals from home while the better teams are on the field

what kind of a club does that to their coach that took them to the semis?

Not every team worship their coaches like Arsenal does despite seasons of trophylessness
Re: French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisi And Bundesliga by chic2pimp(m): 10:02pm On Apr 28, 2010
In as Much as I hate Inter, I have to say this is a victory for all Serie A fans and Pain in the butt for Serie A haters grin grin.

The Only downside is that none of those players will represent the Azzuri come the worldcup. But Heck who needs Lucio when you've got Chiellini.

Inter made the final with no Italian player on the field Is that not a shame to Italian football?
Re: French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisi And Bundesliga by chic2pimp(m): 10:24pm On Apr 28, 2010
Tbh, the Italian Media could care less right now.

The T.v News outlets are going bunkers as we speak grin.

When the hysteria calms down, people might start analysing the Inter having no Italians in the Line Up thingy however y'all should remember it ain't call Inter Milan for nothing.

You should know better

Inter Milan (international) is a foreign version for AC Milan, so expect to see foreigners playing in that club because it's international.

Re: French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisi And Bundesliga by dayokanu(m): 4:05pm On Apr 29, 2010
So much hatred for Bayern, and so much of it undeserved. I'm a Sechz'ger and even I feel compelled to defend them

1. The myth that they went for Rooney's ankle.
No they didn't. What they did not do was give him extra gentle treatment. If Ferg fields him, what are they supposed to do? Avoid tackles? Stroke his ankles, like there, there, with velvet gloves?

2. They got a clear offside goal against Fiorentina and therefore are evil.
Yeah, right, any British club that had scored like that would have protested to have the goal taken off the scoresheet in a second. Blame the ref, not the team. Fiorentina got an offside goal in the rematch as well, one which was less obvious, sure, but is there really a difference between a clear offside goal and a narrow offside goal?

3. van Bommel - okay, I'll give you that.
You could say that he is a very, very smart player who has perfected the art of the foul. He always fouls within the given limits - he never gets two yellows, but will take the yellow for the team if the situation demands it. You could say he's cynical, you could say he's a genius. If he's on your team, you will say the latter, if he's not, the former. Then again, there are more than enough other players who have incorporated the foul as a means of their play, and only van Bommel has this type of Satanic reputation. At least be consequent.

4. Their defense - apparently horrid
Demichelis is a player who will leave his fullback position and join the midfield, allowing Bayern to play more attack-minded. Naturally this will expose the defense in swift counters, but it's for a good cause. Yesterday Bayern played the first half defending conservatively, without Demichelis moving upfront, and Lyon weren't getting anywhere

5. Bayern - the moneybags
a) Hey, what has kept your club from working its finances right? Bayern have always calculated wisely. Every Mark or Euro they have or had, they earned. There's no russian billionaire in the wings. Hell, when the Bundesliga was founded they were not even picked as members, 1860 were picked to represent Munich. They worked their way up.
b) As has been pointed out before, money is not everything there. Five of yesterdays line-up are from Bayerns youth academy. Btw, Hamburg tomorrow will feature Jarolim, Trochowski and Guerrero. From Hamburgs youth academy? No, from Bayerns.

6. Bayern the most hated club? Really you can't hate them if you know that
- former players feature prominently in Bayerns setup, as they see themselves as a big family. Like, when Gerd Muller struggled to come to terms with life after his football carreer and turning into an alcoholic, they gave him a couching job and, more importantly, a purpose. Who has been helping George Best and Gascoigne?
- you can always turn to Bayern for the good cause. For example, since the Tsunami, Bayern are financing a school in Sri Lanka, but they don't make a fuss about it. They helped saving FC St.Pauli with a beneficiary match.
- Historically, in Nazi Germany, Bayern stood by their Jewish president Kurt Landauer until he was removed by the Nazis. Landauer fled to Switzerland and was reinstated right after the war. (Some do say the moneybag myth dates back to the era of hatred when Bayern were dismissed as the Jewish club, btw)

Deary, i really respect Bayern. I have this weird love for 1860, therefore I am supposed to hate them, but I can only admire them. All I can see is how they do everything right that my club does wrong.

If you really hate Bayern, you can only do it out of envy and self-hatred. They are giving you no reasons.

Well enjoy your Poly JAMB success,

When the top teams in Europe are fighting for the top spot in the CL finals after all the EPL teams have been beaten soundly.

I would have been more confident If we were playing an EPL team in the final
Re: French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisi And Bundesliga by tkb417(m): 3:06pm On Apr 30, 2010

Fulham will probably win an european trophy and enter Polythecnic and you'll not win the UCL and be denied admission to a UNI

which is better

sitting at home or studying in Yabatech grin grin

You are writing Poly Jamb in the first place because the IQ can not withstand University lectures
Re: French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisi And Bundesliga by tkb417(m): 3:19pm On Apr 30, 2010
exactly

and the boi will earn a distinction in a less glamorous institution but will still be able to work in a multi national

however, you will find ur way to the UNI with mago mago and still come out with lower or pass (by losing the final) and will be on the streets hu-su-ling for a job for years

the choice is urs

In the last 5 seasons, United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all gotten to the Finals.
Some achievement that is almost abnormal in the Bundesliga. . . .

Like Jigga said. . . . .That's a one hot final every ten year average!!
