I've noticed that many of our pianists are lazy..so lazy... they like being spoon fed..I don't understand why someone would be given the way to do something..but yet prefers being given examples and examples..do u even know how many chords can be formed out of a chord with..say..7 notes..?..no!..well I urge u guys..both the silent followers..believe me..people are looking for you..white men are looking for you to give them good jazz music..artistes are looking for you to spice up their songs with melody..and my bro..you can't do that with little examples.. I've been there..I used to buy CDs that had almost 5hours of nothing.. and the funny thing is..those videos, there's none that has the secret to those chords...well I don't know about you..but me?.. I'm getting there...cheers!

Spot on bro!

I personally downloaded almost everything on Playpianotaoday, it got to a time that I became a YouTube fanatic but then I realize that there's no secret formula anywhere and the Holy Grail of Keyboard is nothing but consistence practice and application of newly acquired knowledges. I wouldn't condemn all those videos but more often than not they are just applying old things in a different/new way. If only we keyboardist whether learners or professional can stop being lazy both physically and mentally...

Long time, how's school bro?

Correct Finger Position for Pianist
Relax the fingers and place your hand on a flat surface with all the fingertips resting on the surface and the wrist at the same height as the knuckles. The hand and fingers should form a dome. All the fingers should be curved. The thumb should point slightly down and bend slightly towards the fingers so that the last (nail) phalange of the thumb is parallel to the other fingers (viewed from above). This slight inward bend of the thumb is useful when playing chords with wide spans. It positions the tip of the thumb parallel to the keys making it less likely to hit adjacent keys. It also orients the thumb so that the correct muscles are used to raise and lower it. The fingers are slightly curled, curving down and meeting the surface at angles near 45 degrees. This curled configuration allows the fingers to play between the black keys. The tip of the thumb and the other fingertips should form an approximate semicircle on the flat surface. If you do this with both hands side by side, the two thumbnails should be facing each other. Use the part of the thumb directly below the thumbnails to play, not the joint between the nail phalange and the middle phalange. The thumb is already too short; therefore, play with its tip for maximum uniformity with all the fingers. For the other fingers, the bone comes close to the skin at the fingertips. At the front pad of the fingertip (opposite the fingernail), the flesh is thicker. This front pad should contact the keys, not the fingertip.
This is the starting position. Once you begin play, you may need to stretch the fingers almost straight, or curl them more, depending on what you are playing. Therefore, although the beginner must learn the ideal curled position, strict adherence to a fixed curled configuration is not correct; especially because the curled position has significant disadvantages.

HOW YOU KNOW YOU WILL INHERIT IT

Psalm 89:34 My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

When God promises you something,do you take Him at HisWord?Or do you, like Abraham, ask,"Lord God,how shall I know that I will inherit it?"(Genesis 15:cool

God did not reprimand Abraham for failing to take him at His Word. That is how gracious God is to His people. He even came down to Abraham's level of faith and did something to assure Abraham that He would always keep His promises-He made a covenant with Abraham.(Genesis 15:9-17)

God did not do it for His own benefit.God is a God of his word.He does not break His Word. But He bound Himself to a covenant because He knew that Abraham needed to know in his heart that God would do whatever He had promised him.

Man finds it hard to just believe words. For example, when you buy a house,a contract is drawn up and signed by both parties, and lawyers are involved. You need a contract because you cannot trust the other person's words and he cannot trust yours either.

Likewise,we find it hard to take God at His word.So God made a covenant with us,not because He cannot be trusted, but because He knows that we find it hard to just believe what He says.God knows that man will wonder,"What if God wakes upon the wrong side of His bed tomorrow and decides to fry me instead of bless me?"

But because God has made a new covenant with us,which is established by the blood of His Son,we can, like Abraham, not waver through unbelief regarding the promises of God,but be strengthened in our faith, being fully persuaded that God will do as He has promised.(Romans 4:20-21)We have the assurance that God will not wakeup one day and say,"Forget the new covenant.I want to remember your sins now and curse you instead of bless you!"

My friend, the new covenant blessings for you are guaranteed because God has bound Himself to the covenant. And He is a covenant-keeping God who is willing and more than able to do everything He had promises you!

Because God has made a new covenant with us,established by the blood of His Son,we can be fully persuaded that He will do as He has promised.
Good afternoon

A prayer less christian is not a powerless Christian...he is just a christian who really doesn't wanna Activate what he carries...if you understood what happened to you when you gave your life to Christ then you will understand what you actually carry as a Christian. we can only have powerless unbeliever but a prayer less christian has only decided knowingly or unknowingly to silent what he carries and watch the enemy oppress him. 1John 4:4 he has a Greater spirit within him but he lacks u dey standing of his Identity in Christ.
2 Corinths. 5:17-21
We are ambassadors of christ an ambassador carries a power dat is as heavy as he who sent him but he can decide to use the power or suffer in silence.
JOShua 1:8 you can only know ur true identity in christ when you meditate on his words. It is life unto them dat finds it...
1John 4:13,17. 1 John 5:4
Yea are small gods wow!!! Dats Awesome but u are still being oppressed what's d difference it's simply you lack the knowledge of ur True Identity and U are far from d Source(The Word)
We don't Ave powerless Christians rather we can only have powerless Unbelievers
Identify yourself with Christ this day....In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus is the Word made Flesh unto Us...common celebrate your Identity return to your true source and you shall begin to do Greater things as Jesus Said to US....Praise God
Shalom
