The girls were abducted on April 15, but Boko Haram had been operating from Sambisa forest long before that. Even Jonathan said live on tv during one of his media chats that the reason why the soldiers failed to attack Sambisa forest was that they didn't want Boko Haram to leave forests for the city as a result of such attack.
