My question is, is there still anyone out there living with this virus without been quarantined? It's high time I stopped panic about this Ebola of a thing. One thing I know is that I will live long to glorify the glory of God and besides what I concerned myself with is, where am I going if I die to day.... My Nigerian people fear is a disease, it first sinks in the heart b4 it kills. Let's fear God cos, The FOG IS THE BOW |

Litmus: If you are Nigerian, please do not believe any of these Ebola stories unless you can trace them to a credible sources and do not believe those who try to dismiss your fears as conspiracy theories because there are indeed forces out there determined to destroy you country. Don't help to make their task easier by helping them paint Nigeria as if it was an Ebola ridden place. You true Nigerians are the ones that will duffer for it. Oh..if only they will understand this simple message the problem is they won't. They are crowded and misguided by this same people already. Only the wise ones see the true picture of everything. |

WHO says 70 died from hemorrhagic illness in DRC; denies outbreak is Ebola outbreak of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, the World Health Organization said on Thursday, denying that the illness was Ebola. At least 70 people have died in northern Democratic Republic of Congo The outbreak began in the remote jungle province of Equateur, where the first case of Ebola was reported in 1976, prompting speculation that it was the same illness that has killed more than 1,350 people in West Africa and continues to spread. Symptoms of the two diseases are similar, including vomiting, diarrhea and internal bleeding. But the fatality rate for this outbreak of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis is much lower than for the West Africa Ebola outbreak — 12 percent versus close to 60 percent. The medical charity Doctors Without Borders said it has also sent a team to Equateur to assess the situation. The group said it was too early to confirm what the disease was. Congo does not share a border with any of the West African countries affected by Ebola. But the country has seen several outbreaks since the first case was detected near the Ebola River in northern Congo in 1976. Experimental Ebola drug ZMapp highlights new field of plant-made drugs, which are inexpensive to produce Still, with the Ebola epidemic shedding light on the benefits of plant-made pharmaceuticals, the companies that are making them hope the interest in ZMapp will push the industry forward. As was the case with ZMapp, many companies settled on the tobacco plant as the ideal host for bioengineered proteins because it grows so quickly and produces a high yield. http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2014/8/21/plant-made-pharmaceuticals.html |

4bobo: God help us. Nonetheless, I thought he was arguing that we have no new cases when the Lagos commissioner gave his reports . They wanted to be playing useless politics on Ebola which I think it is not right for now. I knew the liar will soon manifest.I don't know why they are playing politics with people over ebola issue. Why should Chukwu tell us to disregard idris, does he know that we should be enlightened on any issue concerning ebola. Chukwu be deceiving us since this ebola came in to naija. |

Recommended Book - Lonely Planet Africa (Healthy Travel Guides) Lonely Planet Africa Illness & Disease There are numerous illness and diseases throughout Africa and many of them have similar symptoms. With most of the more serious diseases, vaccinations have been developed as a form of protection. Some vaccinations can have different side effects on different people, but if you are travelling to Africa you should always obtain specialist advice from your physician or travel clinic. Many countries have clinics that specialise in tropical diseases.
