Anybody responsible for ousting a democratic regime, like Buahri should never be allowed to ascend into power in this country. Compared to Buhari 18 months in power, Shagari ran a more peaceful, balance and prosperous country. Buhari was the beginning of 16 years of military madness. Nigerians owe it to themselves to continuously reject this unrepentant man.

Firefire: barcanista,

My brother, give it up Buhari candidature cannot fly. I know you, egift, Obiagelli, Berem, and some friends here hate Jonathan with all perfect hatred , but:

… Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Romans 13:1

… Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Romans 8:33-34a

I so much hate it when someone tries to mix religion and politics together. Shove your biblical quotes down inside your perforated a$$!

The persitence of the activities of Boko Haram, when compared with Maitatsine that was crushed in the 1980's, is as a result of the weakness of the C-in-C, Jonathan, not his being a civilian.

I do go to Bayelsa State and trust me Jonathan's failure was epic. Most projects in Bayelsa were either Alam's or NDDC

Firefire: @ Barcanista,

I think base on your recent posts and hullabaloo grin on NL... you may be subjecting yourself to High Blood Pressure.

I will only make a comment without sentiment. BUHARI can NEVER rule a UNITED Nigeria again.

So, comparing Pa. Buhari to Bro. Jonathan is OUT OF PLACE!

Hence, nothing to discuss as there are no bases of comparison.

Shalom!
utter headlessness typical of supporters of an effete called gej.

lolsss I've been laughing since. These Jonathanians don't know what to use as defence. One was posting long article from a blog. Another was quoting me up and down. Another was posting how he was a contractor. And the one you quoted turned to the Bible...lolssss

And the Yorubas just revere Al Mustapha by sending 100 delegates to escort him back to Kano.

Ibb, Obj, Abdulsalami, and even Gowon have 100% possibility of wining the presidential election in Nigeria any day. Buhari, no matter how you guys repackage him, will remain a constant loser.

Jona isn't reverred in its true sense. Bayelsans only show him "brotherly" solidarity. That's all.

The biggest disservice of GMB in my opinion was perhaps being humane when the nation least deserved it. His campaign to rid Nigeria of corruption and indiscipline was well-timed with J.J Rawlings campaign.

GMBs government magnanimously doled out prison terms and when asked why in one of his interviews said, "It is important to keep them away well enough for the society to regain its sanity". Many got as high as 100yrs. J.J Rawlings thought differently. He summarily executed all thieving kingpins of Ghana. A lot of sanity was restored in Ghana.

Perhaps Nigeria would not have evolved yet another generation of thieving public office holders, deadlier in act.

Perhaps...
