@ 3cycle, but there are still successful relationships and marriages where the guy didn't kneel to propose.
It's all about making it romantic or giving the nice, near-perfect girl the right treatment.

Well, these days I don't stay too long before I propose a relationship to a girl, and I end up not knowing her in and ut before proposing, but why should I take too long to know her completely in and out when I risk being friend-zoned for life, but when we are already in a relationship and I see her as complete wifey material and I'm very lucky to have her. If the timing is right, I'll stake my pride by kneeling on one knee to show her she's worth it.

Men I love my comfort zone. Rejection hurts the ego especially when you throw away the pride.

When I propose relationship to a girl and she rejects, she lost plenty. When I go on my knees and throw my pride to the wind to make the moment perfect and still get rejected.
