Guess all dis would av been averted if d pdp majority had simply allow the house to debate on d issue. But they decided to suppress d voice of d opposition using some silly house rules. Now it's all becoming messy. 1 Like |

Why always 50,000? That number should be banned in Nigeria to forestall bribery. 4 Likes |

I have always said it and I remain on this thought - corruption knows no tribe, religion, race or political affiliation. As long as Nigeria exists, it will be ruled by corruption displayed by these insatiable monsters. The solution lies in you and I the electorates when we say no to ignorance, stomach infrastructure and boot licking. Till then, we shall enjoy our own share of the complaints. *In Bob Marley's voice* - "emancipate yourself from mental slavery..............." you know the rest 3 Likes |

Adyrin: Where is the EFCC/ICPC group? Did you just say ICPC?... The last time I heard of them, their oga in solidarity with GEJ, re-echoed that stealing wasn't actually the same thing as corruption Did you also ask of EFCC?.. Theirs is even worse. The last I heard of EFCC was some days back when they arraigned about 4 or 5 fishermen whom they arrested for fishing in international waters Those 2 organisations can ONLY function if their oga ontop ontop (GEJ) gives them the go ahead (or freedom) to perform and as we all know, the big oga doesn't give a damn. 7 Likes |

To whom it may concern I have taken my time to read the front page of this story and to say the least, it is quite shameful and alarming that folks still abound in this country who reason the way the front page commentators do. Most of these individuals who have commented on the front page appear to me to be youthful in age, some of which I believe attended higher institutions of learning in this country or elsewhere. My question is: if youngsters can be reasoning this way, does Nigeria still have a future at all? I see comments like "wetin be my biz", "thief collect am, thief carry am", "all these our polithiefcians sef", "...I am used to it" to mention just few. In fact, I read through the front page and I do not think that I saw any sensible, thought-provoking or sane comment by the posters. Should we keep on like this and expect foreign guests on Nairaland to think well of Nigerian youths? I think Seun and the Moderators need to start filtering persons who post on Nairaland as well as their proposed posts or messages to make sure that they pass a certain level of sanity, rationality and reasonableness before allowing them to be posted on a site as this that has a global audience. Most of the negative reports and news that I receive on daily basis either in the dailies or online really make me sick in the stomach. From the Federal Government trying to cover up its corrupt practices both nationally and internationally, to the happenings in the National Assembly. From the rot in the NNPC that nobody says anything about anymore since after Sanusi's attempt to draw our attention to it had been stifled by the FG itself, to the happenings in our churches. And by the way, is "Mr. Integrity" still in that House? Food for thought! Do we still have rational, right thinking, intelligent, smart and responsible youths in this country? Or it is just on Nairaland that I get to see people who reason like this - comments from folks who care less about the way the affairs of our country are being run. The youths who ought to be the beacon of light and a ray of hope of this country are really missing on the scene. To the intelligent youths still in circulation, remember that "where few good men refuse to condemn evil (as I see on almost a daily basis), evil will abound in its limitless measure." 19 Likes 5 Shares |
