If that APC is that sophisticated and we don't have one in nigeria! Kai -are we truly the giant of africa? Or is it just gallant soldiers that we have? - because looking at the ability and capacity of that APC, mehn - we are finished! And if we do have it, that means it was part of the things stolen from our barracks, when those thwarts invaded them* can we start to look to buy more of those equipment it makes a lot of sense at least we have one now! We need like 30more- 1 Like |

Its either Sahara reporters don't know what they saw, or they know nothing about tanks, or they posted the wrong picture deceiving us. That picture does not in any way look like a T-55 armored tank. Below is a T-55 tank which is a lot slower and less efficient than the one they posted. The one they posted is an ERC 90 which is more sophisticated. So if boko harm came with T-55, why give us a picture of ERC 90? Or did they come with ERC 90 and the whole military couldn't even differentiate between the 2? 1 Like |

LegatusGlaber:bro...this is not a tank...a tank is what it is....a tank.....and military men do not interchange anything...APC is APC not tank APC is an Armoured Personnel Carrier, employed to transport infantry into battle. A tank is an older, larger, more heavily armoured fighting vehicle than the APC. Both APCs and tanks are examples of “Armoured Fighting Vehicles” (AFVs), military vehicles that transport soldiers and weapons. “Tanks” for the Memories Leonardo da Vinci developed a tank prototype. But the British are credited with the first use of a “tank,” during the Battle of the Somme, in the First World War. Tanks, APCs and their ilk share the ability to cover different types of terrain. This was critical in the “trench warfare” that characterized the First World War, as both sides had to carry men and arms across muddy battlefields. Early tanks signalled a new era in armament. By using a sort of conveyor-belt track, they covered rough terrain, while thick metal protected the soldiers inside. It wasn’t long after the first tank hit the battlefield before manufacturers modified the technology. Hundreds of makes and models have been designed for increasingly specific uses, separately and in conjunction with one another. Canadian Combat Tank A New Generation of Acronyms Under the general category of Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs), variations include: tank; Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV); Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV); Armoured Personnel Vehicle (APC); armoured car; self-propelled artillery; tank destroyer; gun-armed wheeled vehicle; light tank; cruiser tank; Main Battle Tank (MBT); super heavy tank; tankette. Canadian Tank Differences among Armoured Fighting Vehicles include: how heavy the outer armour is; the type and number of weapons they carry; whether they use a track or wheels to move; whether they are forward-battle or rear support; and the terrain where they are deployed. These vehicles may be equipped to carry machine guns, surface-to-air missiles, anti-tank missiles, or armour-piercing shells, in a defensive or an attack role. Some are made to fire indirectly at a large distant target; others are best at leading a sudden raid on a specific location. AFVs may need to plow through jungles, mountainous regions, deserts and bogs. Here are the main differences between tanks and APCs: ◾There are no jokes about APCs, but tanks feature prominently in many jokes. ◾Tanks tend to have larger, longer gun barrels. ◾Tanks always have a caterpillar track; APCs can have tracks or wheels. ◾APCs take soldiers to and from a battlefield; a tank is intended to stay on the battlefield and take part in the action. ◾A tank is a tank. There are no cool-sounding acronyms. It’s a tank. ◾In movies and on TV, there are more soldiers visible in a shot of an APC, than on a tank, where more guys stay inside – unless they are receiving flowers from happy, newly-freed villagers. ◾Tanks have a stubby turret, and a top-mounted pivoting barrel – “autocannon” – the big long thing that fires shells. ◾Lots of video games use tanks. No one has been caught playing “APC” at work. ◾If you call an APC a “tank” when speaking to a military dude, one way or another you will come to regret this. |

HARDDON: ever heard of run flat tires? Those tires are not ur normal everyday tires u find on cars. This ERC 90 is way better than T-55 which is old school. T-55 is only good in muds and rough terrains whereas ERC 90 is all purpose. Would move on tarmac and offroad. Using a T-55 on tarmac is not very efficient bro |

I don't understand. This guys are fighting against western education but are using western education technology to fight it. Keep the APCs and foreign bombs aside and use matchets and stones with bows and arrows. Then maybe we'll take you seriously. |

What monstrousity? The sponsors of bh have been exposed, their armers have been prevented and now the Idiats are being defeated. Praise Allah my prayers are being answered. My only beef is that an ogogoro man who claims to be the oga at the top will want to take the glory even though he was afraid of going close to Maiduguri when things were heating up. All thesame, glory be to Allah. As long as politicians will play their game without jeopardizing the lives of poor hapless masses, I don't give a damn. I've always fared well without the government. 1 Like |

It's still a big surprise for me that none of the opposition party members particularly APC has congratulated the Nigerian Army. It's obvious they never wished that this war is won which is a credit to the present administration. By extension, they care less about the innocent masses who are being killed and maimed daily. We are watching and we know those who are truly enemies of the state. |

Those who have direct or indirect sponsorship with boko haram, today I declared a wonderful prayer for you: Your generation shall not experience or follow your footstep. You shall suffer the most dreaded desease that won't be transmissible. As you have denied us rest. You will know no rest even when you've successfully dug your 6feet. To the gallant soldiers who have made their lives available to fight these monsters, God will reward you. I pray that for those who lost their lives, God will replace champions and heroes back to your family. GEJ, in as much as you were not created perfect, you have your flaws, so many might be against you, but at the end you shall testify. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Ibnsultan: The T55 was ours in The first placeNope. They're able to smuggle high grade weapns thru porous routes in Niger, Chad fm Libya. It might av just been kept secretly for use in an intended final push for their evil campaign... and as 4 dat pix, dat isnt a T-55 battle tank, cos it's got to tracks. 1 Like 1 Share |
