I don't know why people still live in ignorance amidst information round about them. Nigerian Army has 46 of those armoured tank in its kitty.

MILITARY officials have shown off their biggest weapon acquisition from Boko Haram so far with the display of a Soviet-made T-55 tank seized from the insurgents during the recent Battle of Kodunga.

So far, the biggest piece of equipment captured from the terrorists after the battle, the T-55 proves the point that Boko Haram is well funded and provided with proper military training. Costing around $500,000, the T-55 is used by the Nigerian Army and once used to be the pride of the Soviet Union.

Many developing countries in the world use the T-55, which was the backbone of the old Warsaw Pact during the Cold War. In the Middle East, the armies of many countries are also built around T-55 and in Iraq in particular, former president Saddam Hussein always strived to ensure that he had more than his neighbours.
