This is controversial topic which might trigger bashing or condemnation I often come across comments like "Lovers come and go but friends are always there If you think about it, a best friend is suppose to be there for you no matter what. Yeah, a girlfriend could walk out on you anytime at any slight provocation, and so could a best friend but I would probably go with best friend because hardly would your best friend forsake or dump you for no good reason. This is a conflict most people have. the answer is neither you can't completely blow off one for the other based on importance because the truth is they are both important to you. In my own opinion, I think I'll chose my best friend over my girlfriend, you'll have many of dates but your best friend will be there for you through all of them and your friendship is way more important. I have date up to 4 girls within 3 years but I have been keeping just one friend during those times I will also rate my best friend over my girlfriend because best they r the ppl u can run to anytime n they will catch u if u fall. Also, true friends mostly choose being your friend without considering perishable parameters such as your height, money and so on So my dear Nairalanders, Do you believe friends are more important than lovers? |

Best Friend- Someone who will always stand by you through thick or thin, ups and downs, rough times and good times. Knows ur weaknesses and helps you to make them ur strong points. A best friend is an all-weather friend Girlfriend- A girl/lady who comes in meeting you and ur best friend. Will never always be there for you in all situations. Only wants your money and material things. May know a little of ur weaknesses and will pull you down with them. A girlfriend is ur friend only wen the times are good. So, do u still want to know who is more important? |

^^ Fallacy...... Your bestfriend could also be your girlfriend... They both serve different purposes and they are not in any form of competition.... Its not all best friends that got ones back anyday anytime, likewise its not all girlfriend that dissapoints at the eleventh hour...... It depends on the situation |
