..... Hmmm....

Nairaland doesn't know what we do offline, that i agree but the people who use nairaland relate with people offline and these interactions laid the foundation for that 'wise saying'. Surely it cannot be wrong. grin

If only the o.p saw things from this perspective.

Thank you. smiley
Ah! The friendliness may change?
When you realize i'm not a member of your family

Clashing opinions doesn't mean the persons involved hate one another or are unfriendly. It just means 'clashing opinions' literally.
cheesy

I didn't say that you become unfriendly when you disagree with me, did I?

Well, some NL members and I disagree every now and then and yet don't hate each other so this is not what I call unfriendly.

Same reasons why more women don't speak up against dating married men thereby contributing in breaking lots of marriages.

That may be true where you live but not here in the States.

In fact some married and unmarried women have lost their lives and taken each other's lives due to creepin'.

How do women provoke domestic violence? Do men also provoke domestic violence?

Statistics:
http://www.americanbar.org/groups/domestic_violence/resources/statistics.html

Just so you understand why it appears that women are getting more 'concern' than men.

You don't have to state the fact that the article does not account for all male victims in the US since it is known that some men shy away from reporting domestic abuse. The government, private/public organization can only act on the resources available to them anyway.

Back to why I'm quoted you.....

Obviously, the reason why most men who are victims of domestic violence don't report it, has a lot to do with the societal stigma attached to it. Just like how most people shy away from reporting mental illness/disorder.

However, that doesn't mean we should neglect their plights. They are just as vulnerable as women who are also victims of domestic violence. And we all need to be cognizant of this fact, and allude to them when talking about domestic violence. That is my point.

And how do men provoke domestic violence?

Good question!

Btw...this is one of the most common excuses (and their variations) abusive men give when they abuse women.

"She provoked me!"

"She made me do it!"

"She pushed me into it!"

Nonsense!
