I saw this and a kinda agree with it.

No course studied in the higher institution seems
easy, but some are brutal and can snuff life outta
you.
However, don't get afraid of them. They're
actually interesting. So grab a packet of popcorn as I take you through them.

1. Engineering: the name of this course speaks for itself already. The dudes that study this course eh.....*winks*. It undeniably houses all heavy weight courses in engine faculty like chemical engineering, mechanical, production, petroleum...etc..any guy you see rushing to lecture hall with a punching calculator, they're engine boys o.

2.Medicine: What makes this course challenging, is because you'll be forced to read(jack) like your life depends on the degree of knowledge you obtain from their heavy an bulky textbooks. Some of them actually do go for thanksgiving, when they pass their MBBS exam, that contains Anatomy, physiology and biochem.

3.Biochemistry: people usually think that it's a combination of biology and chemistry. If you're one of such, abeg, it's a wrong impression. You will actually get familiar with Bio molecules and giant Organic structures, that will choke you up. This course requires much logic.
What makes it challenging,is that you'll have to
learn a lot within a short duration. Metabolic
pathways might seem frustrating atimes...*winks*. Another thing about this course is that their lecturers are always sadists, due to long years of studying brutal carbohydrate and enzyme structures.

4.Chemistry: I call this course the power, because these dudes can mix chemical concoctions of Ammonia and HCL and blow everywhere...chem guys, I dey joke o....Its actually one of the most difficult in physical science, because you'll make friends with differential equation in physical chemistry, which will leave you wondering if you're studying maths or chemical reactions.

5.Pharmacy: Its already obvious.don't know where to begin with this course. It overlaps critical aspect of chemistry. You hear stuffs like pharmacokinetics, drug metabolisms etc.

6.Architecture: the funny thing about this course is that it sounds cool and friendly, but when you get in,you know that not all that glitters are gold. You'll get familiar with geometric drawings, optics and so on, which atimes is usually a pain to the ass.

Another silly post. When a guy has never spent hours studying and reading through to understand concepts and their application believes the field that exists is in the sciences. Please before you start writing and believing anything and everything you read or hear try find out what Economics, Accounting and Law Students go through to get a degree. I have said it severally, there is no cheap course. A core science student is comfortable with theories and formulations and formulae. The Art student would rather thumb through pages and volumes, learn cases and their application together with accompanying precedents. Simple question to the OP. What would life be like if all there existed were science and science related activities only. No music, no movies, no courts, judges, accountants, economists even historians.

Please desist forthwith from saying things that portray you as a baboon.

Guy, calm down oh. ''Pharmacist tried'' ''pass there pharmacology''. Let me remind you that in all those departments there is the option of carry-over, but in most Pharmacy schools, that option does not exist. So u either pass a course or you repeat the whole year. And by a course, I mean any course at all, even a seemingly small practical course with 1 credit unit can make someone repeat a year.
So don't just sit down and say ''Pharmacist tried''.

And note, I am not saying Pharmacy is the most difficult course, because all have their '''problems'' but don't downgrade one because of another.

And do u know why girls don't like going for most engineering? Because, it involves muscle works... But, u will find numerous girls in Food engineering and an encouraging number in Computer engineering.

Number 1 should be: Mechanical Engineering- they combine mental and physical work...mechanical engineering students are always book-worms, and don't always have social life cos they don't see girls at all, and whenever they manage to come across pretty ladies, they are overwhelmed with joy and excitement. That course na die!!!

Number 2: Metallurgical/Material Engineering- another wahala course after mechanical.

Number 3: medicine/surgery- plenty smart guys up theresmiley

Others follow.

Engineering students are always versatile; and hardly stay unemployed or let me say, idle for too long cos their brain is always calculating. Check the best musical artistes, authors, entertainers, etc in Nigeria, they always have engineering background. Engineers rock!!! smiley

But funny enough, the best students in all Nigerian secondary schools always end up studying: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Medicine/Surgery, etc while the dullest students who roam about with high school girls even in campus, end up studying Law, Accounting, Business Admin, Psychology, etc and guess what They end up becoming the directors and managers directing and managing the intelligent engineering/medical chaps, what an irony of lifegringrin

Na me no do mathematics..i did core mathematics bro.....i was in same clique with two maths first class graduates some years ago.we were actually into research(mathematica aerodynamics)..
ismokeweed:

I seriously doubt if those ones knew what they were doing as maths final year syllabus does not cross with engineering. The likes of laplace, fourier series, and other stuff you did in EMA are before maths final. Final is mainly analysis (real, functional), DEs, abstract algebra. We didn't do such in engineering. EMA was straight forward and was walk over for most engine students so don't bother judging with that. If it isn't hard, why do you agree it's rare to see 1st class? If you say the lecturers are wicked, then you are buttressing my point that the ones in Uniben are demons, Anyway, everybody go say na e father farm big pass. So I see no point of this argument when you did only engineering. I did mathematics. Then elect engineering. So guess I'm judging from my experiences and class mate reviews.

I dont get u o.

U mean say Pharmacology is Pharmacy?
.

Don't mind dat dude bro...next to clinical pharmacy, pharmacology is the sweetest aspect of pharmacy I must say..I am in medicine still I won't lie to u abt how hard pharmacy it might be for me if I were in dat dept ..well,maybe endurance might work for me anyways...my best friend on campus just graduated from pharmacy..u need to see wat is up with him wen he is reading his pharmacognosy, pharmaceutics, pharm chem, dispensing aspect of it...very abstract I must confess...if medical works with its hardness, strangeness and voluminosity were to be like pharmacy's abstract nature, medical doctors would hav gone in extinction since world war 2...in other words, anyfin called chemistry is bast.ardly...no matter how simple a course may look, wen it has extension to chemistry or other physical sciences, all is well is I can say on its abstract nature...

my brother, even in India, the toughest course anyone can think of is engineering- mechanical, nano, robotics, etc. What makes engineering tough is the fact that they combine classroom work with workshop practicals...so if u can read and can't do practical/physical work, then u won't excel in mechanical engineering.

Or why do u think few ladies or will I say females study mechanical engineering Everywhere in the world, every university in the world, mechanical engineering department always have the least number of female students, and social life in any mechanical engineering department is zero! Most mech engine students don't have girlfriends; many don't drink or club cos its a hard place to be, unlike medical students who have time to socialise with women and even club.

I pity mechanical engineering students shaa

In my own opinion, I wouldn't say any course is cheap neither will I agree that it's hard either because those course listed in Ops list have produce comfortable 1st class in different schools. Those people bagging 1st class in mech, eee, chem, cve, geol, law, econs, acc, et al @unn, uniben,ui,unillag etc no carry two heads.
This was what saw me through geology/mining(study of the ghost).
The problem is that the tertiary institution is much more tempting, the babes(different kinds), the boose, the party, the cults and all manner of social agent deceive a lot of people...

All jambites/green men take note

Sir,in which university ?? I am very much sure it is not in OAU-Ife...bch makes preclinical hard for more than half of any class...physiology nd pharmacology in preclinical class seems to be d saving grace for many students cos every medical student tends to understand them for its straight forwardness..I wish bch were voluminous like anatomy and students would know d difference!..broda,call on any medical guy in clinical guys to move stuffs on these three topics they were taught in preclinicals...nothin less than 80% would physiology perfectly, close to 70% anatomy and I bet u would hardly see 50 % that still remembered up 40% of their "abstract" bichemistry...they rupture guys virtually everytime in chemical pathology clinical postings cos virtually all crammed bch in their preclinicals to pass except few...so my point is bch isn't dat cheap in med skul like u posited...
