Urine:When you put restrictions on love, you start having problems in your relationship. Both parties should give 100%, don't create room for issues. I'm no expert but I'm living and learning, think about 1st Corinthians chapter 13, restrictions breed problems in the long run 4 Likes |

No,just be smart to give what you receive in equal measure. With relationships a lot of people listen to hearsay.....copy a 'role model' or just simply believe what they read.Feelings are practical...you get what you give. You give love you should get love back in equal measure. You give affection you should get it back in equal measure. You give your time you should get it back in equal measure. You phone me, visit me i should reciprocate in equal measure. That way you will rip the real benefit of love.Anything short of that you will be so tormented emotionally....babe/bro it is not worth it.If you enjoy your life i should enjoy mine in equal measure also.QED 4 Likes 1 Share |

excelsia: Ok, I'm really crazy about you, I've been watching you for a while and I have a strong feeling you're the one. Should I open up to you totally in one week or tell you bit by bit in a month (I might start like a person that's not really interested in you)? 5 Likes |

Its very simple. Men treat your woman how you would like your sister or daughter treated. Women, treat your man how you would like your brother or son treated. Its a very accurate way to make sure you do the right thing. I also dont think it s wrong to mirror each other in terms of the affection given and always keep communication number one. You cant go wrong, and where you do, its easily identified and dealt with, before it causes unnecessary problems. Game playing, manipulation or passive aggressiveness in relationships is a slippery slope to failure. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Ordinarily, one would expect lovebirds to express their feelings and emotions to each other without barrier, but given the rates at which break ups occur daily and with one or both ex bitter about the way their relationship had to crumble, bitterness and guilt takes over their minds. We can all agree that when we express our feelings and show love too much towards someone, most often, they take it for granted with the believe that whatever sh*t they do the person will condone it, in other words it's safe to play as though one's live will still sail smoothly in the case of any eventuality. I agree with the Nler to some extend but also have my reservations, when two people are in a relationship, love each other (or so they claim), there shouldn't be any limit to which they show to the other person how he/she makes them feel, whether they give each other butterfly or running stomach lol, should be expressed always. But this should be considered carefully so no one get played and/or taken for granted, we have to be certain the love is mutual and the expression should be returned equally, this way one is safe. I have to say that guys should take the lead when expression of emotions are concern in a relationship, my reasons being that as we all already know women are most of the times move by what they hear and needs to be re-assured as often as possible that they are still being loved and appreciated as same as when the affair first took off. But they shouldn't just let the guy do it all alone though, it's sweeter and flows good when the both are involve. Summarily, both lovebirds should always express themselves at any given time they feel like, I will rather be blame for expressing too much love and the way I feel towards my lover than getting blame for giving her the room to shut the door on me. When and if it fails after one puts their best effort I think it wasn't meant to be and just maybe a better person is waiting them. |

missberrypop5:, True, but a man can sometimes be in love and just can't have enough of you. The balance is very delicate. Too much attention, you're clingy; too little attention, you are not caring. There is no "attention-o-meter" to measure these things. The level of attention needed varies from person to person. I guess one basic fact is two people in love may well be in love to different degrees. One of them may just be "pragmatically" in love while the other is wholeheartedly in love. 4 Likes |

Why would u want to withhold expressing your feelings to your other half? I don't get that! Hiding your true feelings can actually ruin d romance, which is not what you really intended. I'm not of d school of thought that thinks its weak to express your feelings, be it man or woman.....if u feel it, live it, show it! Delight in your love interest, unless it's not there oh. My humble submission |

Sincerely, I don't see anything wrong in rationing affection ACCORDINGLY. It's infact a regulative principle aimed @ maintaining an equilibrium in the love section of a relationship. Following the Law of Love/Affection 101 (I made that up....lol). The higher the output of love/affection- the higher its value diminishes. There is an inevitable correlation/relationship between the amount of love you exude and your partner's behaviour (especially when you're stuck with a manipulative partner). You don't wanna come off as obsessive/needy. The application of this Law...should be based on the circumstance of your relationship and your discretion. I still believe: anything worth doing is worth doing well........love inclusive. 1 Like |

MizMyColi: Its very obvious that the more calm someone is in a relationship, he/she remains the element of surprise to the partner. For example, I am naturally a person who hardly expresses surprises and when I do the cloak of introvertism hides it. When I newly lost that thing, I found my dates drooling over me. Why ? Because out of innocence I didn't really care about anything.. So using it as a tool of manipulation is wrong but if it flows naturally, it isn't bad. But as someone way don spoil finish, its obvious that when men express in totality their regard for a lady, she obviously starts taking him for granted.. |
