I can see some tribal gang up in APC, something that is looking more like what happened before the emergence of Biafra. First it was buhari and bakare, now buhari and some unknown professor somewhere.

Why not buhari and pat utomi or some descent human beings from the south east for a change? This election will make or break Nigeria for good. Be ready people, one good thing on your side is that Nigerian army is now a boyscout and girls brigade outfit.

Justice Ayo Salami retires
on july 26, 2013 at 12:46 am in news
Facebook Share Twitter Share
By Soni Daniel, Regional Editor, North
ABUJA — After almost two years of intrigues
against his recall, former President of the
Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami, has
resigned.
Vanguard learnt from competent judicial
sources that the respected judge had finally
opted to retire from service rather than
continue to wait for reinstatement as was
recommended by the National Judicial
Council, NJC, which had earlier approved his
suspension.
The source confirmed that Salami had already
tendered his pre-retirement letter to NJC and
that the council had accepted it.
According to the source, Salami, who is
expected to formally retire from service on
October 15, was to proceed on his pre-
retirement leave this month.
The source, yesterday, said: “It is true that we
have received Salami’s pre-retirement letter
and notice in accordance with the rules of
National Judicial Service of Nigeria.
“The development has put to an end any
possibility of recalling him.”
The retirement notice filed by Salami is
expected to pave the way for the emergence of
either Justice Dalhatu Adamu or Justice
Zainab Bulkachuwa as the substantive FCA
judge in the next three months.
Bulkachuwa has, however, been acting in that
capacity since November 22, 2012.
A reliable source said, yesterday, that the
authorities were more disposed to
recommending the female judge to succeed
Salami because of her impeccable record of
service so far.
It will be recalled that NJC had, in August
2011, suspended Justice Ayo Salami for
refusing to apologise to the council and the
former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice
Aloysius Katsina-Alu, after a panel of the
council found him to have lied against CJN.
Beyond the suspension, the council
recommended to the President to retire him
from the Bench, an action that forced Salami
to challenge NJC’s action in court.
However, in May 2012, NJC rescinded its
decision and recommended the reinstatement
of Salami, but Federal Government citing
several court actions over the matter,
distanced itself from the recommendation of
the council.

Bros can you please tell the world why NJC wanted a supposedly guilty Salami reinstated?

Bros can you please tell the world why NJC wanted a supposedly guilty Salami reinstated?
. Also read the passages below and am willing to send you more so that you can be well educated:

The friction between Salami and Justice
Aloysius Katsina-Alu became public
knowledge when Salami alleged that Katsina-
Alu interfered in the handling of the court case
arising from the 2007 gubernatorial election in
Sokoto State, an election won by Governor
Magatakarda Wamakko of the PDP but
questioned by Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi of the
Democratic Peoples Party (DPP). Katsina-Alu
was alleged to have told Salami to dismiss the
Court of Appeal panel handling the case
following ‘discovery’ that the judgment the
panel was going to deliver had leaked.
One thing led to another and the NJC, headed
by Katsina-Alu, recommended that Salami
should be promoted to the Supreme Court. But
to Salami, it was a demotion, a demotion from
the privileged chair of the Court of Appeal
president to an ordinary seat in the apex
court. Salami rushed to court for an order to
stop the ‘promotion’.
NJC Investigative Panels
Because the allegations involving the heads of
the nation’s highest courts would not die, the
NJC, this time, headed by Katsina-Alu’s
deputy, Justice Dahiru Musdapher, set up a
five-member investigative panel to probe the
allegations. The investigative panel which was
headed by retired Justice Umaru Abdullahi,
cleared the CJN of allegations of interference
in the Sokoto election case, and indicted
Salami for ‘lying on oath’.
The NJC set up another panel, this one headed
by the Chief Justice of the Federal High Court,
Justice Ibrahim Auta, to review the Abdullahi-
led panel report. The Auta panel found Salami
guilty of misconduct and of perjury. It stated
that the allegations Salami raised against
Katsina-Alu were false, and ordered Salami to,
within seven days, do a written apology to
Katsina-Alu and the NJC for ‘false
complaints’.
NBA Panel findings
The findings of both panels ran contrary to
those of the panel constituted by the Nigerian
Bar Association (NBA) which indicted
Katsina-Alu over the Sokoto governorship
appeal. This variance between what the NJC
and NBA made of the CJN-Salami feud from
the beginning, may explain the rejection of
Salami’s suspension by the NBA and its
resolve to have nothing to do with the NJC till
the controversy was sorted out.
While members of the NBA and much of the
general public were still protesting the
suspension of Salami, President Goodluck
Jonathan did ‘the unthinkable’ when he
appointed Justice Dalhatu Adamu on acting
capacity, to take over Salami’s job as head of
the Court of Appeal bringing to its peak the
wide condemnation of Jonathan and the NJC
which recommended Salami’s punishment to
him.

SMahmoud:

Please tell us the name of one person Buhari murdered or has a hand in his murder.
Read the following piece carefully by Wole Soyinka:
Prominent against these charges was an act that amounted to nothing less than judicial murder, the execution of a citizen under a retroactive decree. Does Decree 20 ring a bell? If not, then, perhaps the names of three youths - Lawal Ojuolape (30), Bernard Ogedengbe (29) and Bartholomew Owoh (26) do. To put it quite plainly, one of those three – Ogedengbe - was executed for a crime that did not carry a capital forfeit at the time it was committed. This was an unconscionable crime, carried out in defiance of the pleas and protests of nearly every sector of the Nigerian and international community – religious, civil rights, political, trade unions etc. Buhari and his sidekick and his partner-in-crime, Tunde Idiagbon persisted in this inhuman act for one reason and one reason only: to place Nigerians on notice that they were now under an iron, inflexible rule, under governance by fear.

The execution of that youthful innocent – for so he was, since the punishment did not exist at the time of commission - was nothing short of premeditated murder, for which the perpetrators should normally stand trial upon their loss of immunity. Are we truly expected to forget this violation of our entitlement to security as provided under existing laws? And even if our sensibilities have become blunted by succeeding seasons of cruelty and brutality, if power itself had so coarsened the sensibilities also of rulers and corrupted their judgment, what should one rightly expect after they have been rescued from the snare of power” At the very least, a revaluation, leading hopefully to remorse, and its expression to a wronged society. At the very least, such a revaluation should engender reticence, silence. In the case of Buhari, it was the opposite. Since leaving office he has declared in the most categorical terms that he had no regrets over this murder and would do so again.

Human life is inviolate. The right to life is the uniquely fundamental right on which all other rights are based. The crime that General Buhari committed against the entire nation went further however, inconceivable as it might first appear. That crime is one of the most profound negations of civic being. Not content with hammering down the freedom of expression in general terms, Buhari specifically forbade all public discussion of a return to civilian, democratic rule. Let us constantly applaud our media – those battle scarred professionals did not completely knuckle down. They resorted to cartoons and oblique, elliptical references to sustain the people’s campaign for a time-table to democratic rule. Overt agitation for a democratic time table however remained rigorously suppressed – military dictatorship, and a specifically incorporated in Buhari and Idiagbon was here to stay. To deprive a people of volition in their own political direction is to turn a nation into a colony of slaves. Buhari enslaved the nation. He gloated and gloried in a master-slave relation to the millions of its inhabitants. It is astonishing to find that the same former slaves, now free of their chains, should clamour to be ruled by one who not only turned their nation into a slave plantation, but forbade them any discussion of their condition.

Rueben Abati is so funny and maybe associating with clueless and corrupt people has made him clueless and corrupt.
In 1983 when Buhari overthrew Shagaris corrupt government I was a student in Unilag and I will tell you students all over the country were in support of the coup. Buhari jailed a lot of corrupt politicians and a lot of import licence scammers.
Buhari had zero tolerance for corruption and I do not think that Buhari as president will sit in Aso rock and allow insurgents of any kind to over run an inch of Nigerian territory.
