First of all am very glad I finally found a site to share my problem

So am not that close to my friend I just take one Class with her ( she's my best friend's friend ) , so I went to her birthday party and we became a little bit closer .
The next day she asked me if I was single and give me the pin of her boyfriend's best friend , she said that he liked me , so I added him , we talked for a couple of days but we didn't like each other
The next day her boyfriend added me and she told me that I should accept his add and see what he wants , so I did and he asked me to meet me and I said okay .
The next day at school I asked her if she knows why he wants to meet with me and she said that it would be about his friend .
But when I met him he said I was cute , and talked about how his girlfriend annoys him and how many times she's left him for her ex , then he said that he is breaking up with her and that he wants to date me
I like him and he said he liked me , but when I saw my friend and she asked what happened I told her that he just talked about his friend , so I lied to her and she believed me .
My best friend says it's fine to date him she doesn't need to know , but my friend says I shouldn't date him at all .
And I don't think I'll be able to confront her .
They've been breaking up a lot and he said he can't go on with her any more .
and I like him so so so so much , but I don't want her to hate me
