The Independent National Electoral Commission has challenged the Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, to prove his allegation that the commission was intentionally preventing would-be voters from claiming their permanent voter cards.

Fani-Kayode had, at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, alleged that the PVCs were still in China, where they were produced, and had yet to be imported to Nigeria.

He had said, “We have information that the PVCs that Nigerians are scrambling for are not in Nigeria and will not arrive before the elections. These PVCs are still in China and (INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru) Jega has strategically delayed their arrival to suit his electioneering permutations.”

But the Chief Press Secretary to Jega, Mr. Kayode Idowu, toldSUNDAY PUNCHon Friday that the onus lies on Fani-Kayode to validate his claims.

Idowu said, “It is they that should produce proof that we have not produced the cards, because INEC has produced those cards and put them in the public domain. Anybody who says it is not like that should produce proof.

“We have extended the collection deadline and people need to make use of that opportunity to come out. INEC cannot drag people out of their houses to collect their PVCs. It is for INEC and the media to continue to sound it in the ears of people that they need to make judicious use of this time; otherwise, anyone who does not collect his card will disenfranchise himself.”

Fani kaydee speaks without proof always. We should be careful and double check anything he says. The PDP has reiterated their confidence in Jega, this was confirmed by a statement released by the PDP chairman couple of days ago, meanwhile FFK is still saying nonsense, it makes me think he doesn't consult the leadership of the party before he releases his statements. I have never for once taken him seriously. He is just a hired loud speaker!

At the place I registered in Enugu only one out of four of us have seen his. Tired of going to check in all registration centers around and the local government.

PDP is beginning to act like the opposition party in this election. APC seem calm and ready for the election like the ruling party.

I wonder if truely this man graduated from Harvard university because this university is known as the best university in the world. They produce intelligent student but the reverse is the case for fani kayode.HE will just open his mouth without bringing out something reasonable. No wonder while he was addressing jounalist people started shouting sai Buari! The ealier the better for for the president to appoint a new person to supervise that his office before he will destroy mr president and the country. Why I hate him most is mentioning the names of Ibos woman he has slept with on a national media. What a shame of humanity is that?

I'm becoming embarrassed on a daily basis by PDP and FANI-KAYODE for bearing KAYODE aka KHAYGOLD. Must my namesake always talk without a proof?

Why pdp keep talking about pvc when they have never encouraged voters to pick them up.

At all campaigns, Buhari kept saying one thing, "make sure you get your PVC, vote and wait till your vote is counted" GEJ on the other hand kept attacking Buhari's personality but has never for once ask voters to go get their PVC.
