ROSSIKE: Bros, may ur source of intellect never run dry, When I read comments on nairaland, sometimes I laugh, other times I find it hard how some people could be so dumb. I really wish people's age displayed with their comment. So we would know people who are just being childish and acting their age. And those who are full in years yet so dumb. The matured-dumbass Locomotive trains are not bad as being painted. Some travel at peak speed of 150 to 200 km/ h. They are widely used in us and uk. The entire high speed train network in the us is about 300 km, the rest is still the conventional trains. Uk has about 70 miles of high speed rail tracks. In the whole of africa, no country uses high speed trains. India doesn't have that technology . The only countries that use it on a wide scale are china, japan, france and some european countries. It is a very expensive technology. And can only be deployed on specialised routes even if we decide to use them. Critics should stop displaying their ignorance. 3 Likes |

efilefun: The trains were just another avenue for them to siphon money. They'll budget for brand new trains but will instead buy trash and put the huge surplus in their pockets. It's Nigerians blinded by hate, ethnicity, bigotry and religion that I blame and not the thieving politicians |

For me, the reason I want to vote GMB is this. In GEJs regime; it was well known to us the unemployment rate will remain worse in the coming years. Contract jobs have become prominent and nothing is been done. Indians, Chinese have become our bosses and we respect them more than our people. GEJ did nothing about it, he will do nothing about it. In my view, the recruitment process since GEJs regime has been the most corrupt of them all. I have never in my life seen or understood why First bank would have their candidates, why customs will have about 600 slots from the federal government, of which most of them are Hausas. I see no reason why nimasa will have 600 slots from GEJ. The level of unemployment is really high and it is sad because this is the only reason why I would vote for GMB. If una like make una show me the best part of GEJ. If him like make he buy 3000 trains, is that the major problem of the country? I also do not understand why seun sometimes will take off my comment! If you don't like what I say, tell me and I leave this forum. |

Kola4uniadgog:na now i know say you be PDP.ig fanboy. So nigeria no get the money for the technology abi? Or we don't have enough money and reserve to generate electricity too abi? Or we don't have the money to generate power of our own. Oh I've forgotten your thieves you call leaders keeps looting us dry. A country that generate enough crude oil and has trillions in reserve can't build one working refinery. I've forgotten we don't have the money to afford that technology too. Mr man go sleep you no get point. |

sobmos: I never said we can't afford it, it is a very expensive technology. There are plans for the abuja-lagos high speed rail. And it is public-private sector partnership thing. I was only trying to correct the people using locomotive to be a bad thing. And let's just trash d issues. No need for personal attacks. |

Kola4uniadgog:I didn't mean to insult you. It's just that whenever I think about the situation of this country,I just get angry and bitter. With all the trillions of dollars in our reserves. We can't afford the basic needs of life ( Electricity,Water,Good health facilities and a cheap but Good education) . The government as a whole has failed us. But,this GEJ own worst!!! |
Re: Dbanj, oritse Femi And Wande Coal Take A Metro Train Ride In Abuja by Nobody: 8:44pm On Mar 22, 2015 |
sobmos: I agree with you that Nigeria is far from what it should be. Leadership has failed us. Past leaders have failed. That is why we are like this. Past administrations had succeeded in fixing notin. That is why I won't totally blame him for all our problems. Tho he ought to have done more. If u watched d debate, most of the other candidates commended d giant strides in the agric sector. I believe giant stride have been made in certain sectors. At first, colonels were directing the war against the insurgents which is the norm in the military, but it wasn't working. Now the generals are directly leading the war. And you can see the successes that have been recorded. In the power sector, a lot of investments have been made with marginal results. I believe there is something they are not getting right and with time, that will be figured out and power will improve considerably. Especially when vandalisationof power installations is brought to the barest minimum. Nothing is foolproof bro and no man is perfect. |
