IDPs IN LAGOS BENEFIT FROM NAF FREE MEDICAL SERVICES, AS AFRICAN PARTNERSHIP FLIGHT ENDS

Over 100 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) benefited from free medical services provided by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in collaboration with the United States Air Force Africa Command, as part of activities to end the week-long African Partnership Flight Conference The free medical services provided to the IDPs included laboratory tests, eye and dental check-ups, provision of free eye glasses, drugs and voluntary HIV test, among others.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Honourable Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Ambassador Danjuma Sheni, reiterated the need for combined training and common doctrines by armed forces of African countries to tackle the menace of terrorism and other security challenges on the continent. While expressing gratitude to the United States Government for her untiring support towards capacity building initiatives in the NAF, the Honourable Minister expressed his belief that the training programme would help reduce the problem of integration of human and material resources from different operational backgrounds.

In his remarks, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, represented by the Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal IJ Yahaya, noted that the African Partnership Flight was designed to build strong and transparent partnerships that would foster regional stability and security through formal alliances, partnerships and exchange of ideas among African air forces. The Conference, with the theme “Aeromedical Evacuation and Medical Deployment”, concentrated on capacity building of the aircrew and medical personnel who would be involved from time to time in humanitarian and aeromedical evacuation operations.

In his remarks, the representative of the United States Team, Major General Baldwin, noted that the programme was very important to developing the critical capability of the participants to take care of casualties adding that the role of the military globally was more than securing the country. The Conference, which was jointly organised by the United States Air Force in Europe and the NAF, brought together participants from Benin, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria as well as facilitators from the United States of America.

Chief, what Arab Spring? ha, many times these so called local grievances are started by foreign agents.
the CIA tried this in Cuba less than 5yrs ago, except they get caught.
Ever wondered why the western media was so silent during the Arab spring as the Saudis sent soldiers into Bahrain to end similar movement, while they were busy calling for democracy and freedom for Libyans, I mean, isn't that madness, so Libyans deserve democracy and freedom, but not those in Saudi Arabia or Bahrain.
A whole lot of these things have fingers from the West stiring things up. All they gotta do is get a local connect and use that person to start madness, next thing you know your country is in ashes.

YES I AGREE

Gaddafi kept them in check just like Saddam did and now Assad has done and continues to do with blood thirsty slaughtering of his own people. Simply oppose and die.

BBC tales.
When there's a group of people whether locals or foreigners who are bent on destabilizing your government, you don't sit idle and watch.
Claiming Assad is "slaughtering" his people is BBC tales by the moonlight.
We have BH, why don't we just allow them to do whatever they want so we won't have the record of slaughtering "our people"?
What Jpphilips says is on point.
Despite the level of hatred shown by the Anti - Trump, they've never pick up arms against his government despite the many gun shops littering the streets of America.

What happened in Libya is NATO orchestrated plan that was well executed using the people against the government.

The problem they created in Libya is what we are contending with and trying to contain today.

There has always been rebellious elements and old deep seated historic hatred even vendettas amongst the tribes of Libya.

Gaddafi created his monarchy enthroned his tribe, family and local array Sirte as being ordained to rule for life.

Suppression is Oppression which eventually will cause an uprising. The west has always disliked Gaddafi for blocking thier imperialist plans in Africa. And if they could and they did try to remove him.

But during the Arab spring the brutal response to peaceful demonstration was so harsh. All of a sudden people forgot thier fear and rose up in defiance. The first to do this were soldiers who refused to fire on thier own people.

It's not as simplistic as NATO orchestrated it all.

Western media was not silent on Bahrain.

All nations turn a blind eye to human rights abuses when it suits them. Paul Biya, Mugabe, Nkurunziza have all butchered thier own people to stay in power. What have African rulers said nothing and remained largely silent and in some respects even supported them.

All politicians are hypocritical irrespective of location.

This behaviour is not the exclusive preserve of the West.

Wing Commander Chimda Hedima 1975 - 2014.

On 11/09/14, a company of NA soldiers attempted to overrun a Boko Haram position in Borno. Due to the low altitude, the plane suffered significant damage from the terrorists' gun fire. Wing Commander Hedima and his partner realized that they were going to crash.

Instead of hurriedly parachuting to safety within Nigerian controlled territory, they chose to embark on a mission to destroy as many terrorists and their weapons as possible. They parachuted out at the last minute but not before ensuring their plane slammed into a column of terrorists in which 63 Boko Haram members were killed as a result of their bravery.

Wing Commander Hedima was captured. On 12/09/14, he was killed by the Boko Haram.

He chose Nigeria, he chose all of us. We cannot forget him. Please share his story. His name should be known by everyone.

Rest In Peace Commander, we are grateful.

May you find eternal peace in the bosom of the almighty God.

I can never forget this incident. I remember clearly how he remain calm even in the face of death. He died for a greater good and it is shameful that NAF, under Badeh's leadership denied him. I felt bad for Naija that day when he was killed in his service uniform, hand tied to his back, too graphic to describe. Yet, Badeh denied him. Badeh deserve to be hanged by the balls.

I am forced to clear this misrepresentation of fact.

Libya under Gaddafi had one of the largest stockpiles of weaponry in Africa, when he turned his guns on his own people and they in turn, turned on him and rejected him. Remember that was the Arab Spring.

Remember also that in Benghazi whole battalions rejected him, particularly as he had taken to using Touareg mercenaries to butcher his own people.

The west supported the uprising but did not by any means start it.

The people just raided the huge stockpiles and then defended themselves with the looted weapons. The more opportunistic amongst them sold the weapons to the Islamic Maghreb, even the Touaregs helped themselves to the freely available assorted weaponry. At this stage they too started their on rebellion and then Boko joined in buying weaponry at the Nations closing down give away sale, the rest is now present continuous history.

According to the Benghazi report released in part by the US Congress, Gaddafi's arms fell into the hands of those you mentioned after Gaddafi was murdered not before.
It might interest you to note that Gaddafi's Libya placed Libya as the 3rd and 2nd best militaries in Africa at the time so no one is in doubt of his stockpile, what I think you should be concerned about is when another nation in any guise Nato or whatever ask people to over throw their government for whatever reasons, but wont do same at home, it calls for serious concern.
The US admitted arming, training, cordinating and resupplying the rebels, why do you think Ambassador chris Stephens was killed by the same Libyans if the US was innocent?

Ambassador Stephens was killed by Al Quadia aligned groups.

The uprising started with the killing of innocent civilians. The people revolted after over 300 people were killed the dreaded Khamis Battalion based at Katiba was in the forefront of killing innocent civilians.

Elements within the army found it difficult to kill thier own family members and revolted. The heavily armed and we'll stocked Garrison at Katiba was overtaken from inside and outside by now the increasing number of civilian rebels turned militants.

The entire weaponry was seized. The need for foreign supplies was never thier they had all they needed. Apart from air power. However, a number of Gaddafi's airforce were flying the planes to Egypt and Greece and refusing to bomb thier own people.

A few days letter a UN resolution was put in place to protect citizens and enforce a no fly zone. Within the hour French fighter jets averted a certain blood bath by Gaddafi heavy weaponry and tanks when they completely took all his tanks out that were just about to enter Benghazi.

The Zintan uprising had also started as well as in other cities across Libya. The Zintan Brigade a collection of civilian militias was formed. Who began to inflict heavy casualties on govt forces after raiding the Gaddafi arms caches within and outside the city.

The idea that this was all Western orchestrated is simply impossible and not true. They didn't have to supply arms the country was already awash with them.

According to the new york times;

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration secretly gave its blessing to arms shipments to Libyan rebels from Qatar last year.
But in the months before, the Obama administration clearly was worried about the consequences of its hidden hand in helping arm Libyan militants, concerns that have not previously been reported. The weapons and money from Qatar strengthened militant groups in Libya, allowing them to become a destabilizing force since the fall of the Qaddafi government.

The United States, which had only small numbers of C.I.A. officers in Libya during the tumult of the rebellion, provided little oversight of the arms shipments. Within weeks of endorsing Qatar’s plan to send weapons there in spring 2011, the White House began receiving reports that they were going to Islamic militant groups. They were “more antidemocratic, more hard-line, closer to an extreme version of Islam” than the main rebel alliance in Libya, said a former Defense Department official. He said that Qatar would not have gone through with the arms shipments if the United States had resisted them,

During the frantic early months of the Libyan rebellion, various players motivated by politics or profit — including an American arms dealer who proposed weapons transfers in an e-mail exchange with a United States emissary later killed in Benghazi — sought to aid those trying to oust Colonel Qaddafi.

But after the White House decided to encourage Qatar — and on a smaller scale, the United Arab Emirates — to ship arms to the Libyans, President Obama complained in April 2011 to the emir of Qatar that his country was not coordinating its actions in Libya with the United States, the American officials said

Because it's in the New York times it is true without question.

The situation was extremely fluid with a plethora of different militia groups who had very little in common beyond hatred for Gaddafi.

There were many parties trying to manipulate the situation. Including different Arab countries. the Russians and of course to differing degrees the western countries.

I will not comment on this topic we are diverting away from the substance of this discourse.

a lot don't even know the main happenings, which took a strange turn when Bako got ambushed. the coup was a success already with soldiers loyal to them in control. the death of Bako itself was puzzling because he was said to have been inside a covered truck when they got ambushed by guys from nowhere, it still remains a mystery if he was killed by the ambushing forces or his own men during the ambush.
Then the sudden trajectory to Buhari who was in jos then and events not mentioning Bako remains puzzling till date.I wish a media house could interview Lt col now senator Tunde ogbehia , he was together with Brig Bako during that ambush .

Nigeria is a country where good people are sacrificed by bad people, patriots are sacrificed by the unpatriotic. We must fight against this evil.

NAF pilot Hedima's heroic death and sacrifice for you, me and all Nigerians, was denied in news media by Air Marshals Amosun and Badeh because they caused his death with their corruption joined by PDP looter civilians of Aso Rock villa like Dasuki, Dieziani and their gangs.

Nigeria spent $15 billion on military from 2010-2015, that is enough to buy all the weapons of Israel's armed forces.

Wing Commander Hedima was a victim of the fantastic corruption of the past president Goodluck Jonathan government. Looters filled up 99% of government positions, government thieves all over Abuja from civilian to military positions, stealing public money was a professional achievement, the more cash you stole, the greater the respect you get in Abuja.

Finance minister Ngozi Okonja Iweala released the first installment $ 1 billion war money to buy powerful new weapons to fight Boko Haram in mid-2014. Ordinary street people in Abuja were angry when we saw half a billion dollars of that cash was approved by Dr. Jonathan to his PDP party friend and oil businessman Prince Arthur Eze to buy Russian armoured jet warplanes S 25 Fogroot that NAF pilots can fly to bomb Boko Haram without being shot down by dangerous Shekau anti-aircraft guns.

These bullet proof Russian warplanes were never bought because Arthur Eze over-inflated the price as the second hand used jets were priced to NAF at $ 50 million each aircraft, same jets cost only $15 million each in the international market for second hand S 25 Fogroots, meaning that GEJ boy Eze will corruptly steal $210 million from the 6 jets contract, not counting others like helicopters and so on that he was to supply from the $500 million dirty deal. Noise of the leaked jet planes corruption made government change the contract to other types of weapons.

So NAF continued to fly the Alpha jets that have no bullet proof cover and are easy for Boko Haram to shoot down like hunter shooting pigeons form the sky.

Is it not adult age stupidity of a PhD degree holder for President Goodluck Jonathan to have approved very vital warplanes purchases to an oil tycoon Arthur Eze 'Alias Anambra river of money' ? What has a civilian oil businessman got to do with military jet aircraft purchase in a deadly war that was ravaging Nigeria with Boko Haram killing tens of thousands of our men and children, raping thousands of our married women and virgin girls in broad daylight?

Was that not African wickedness of the highest order?

The blood of Nigerian air force pilots like Wing Commander Hedima who died in Borno NE war like cheap chickens, will be on the head of all Nigerian government officials and non-government people who looted military money to enrich themselves while innocent patriotic soldiers died unnecessary deaths from Boko Haram deadly anti-aircraft guns January 2014 to May 2015. May the ghosts of these people whose wives are widowed, whose children are fatherless, whose parents buried their young sons, haunt and torment all these corrupt people forever and ever.

Yet you see on the streets, in newspapers, on TV, on radio, on internet many wicked Nigerians still supporting GEJ for the sake of political party, tribe and religion, wishing PMB dead in London hospital so that corruption can come back to rob poor Nigerians. See how evil Nigerians are? We are our own worst enemies.

Look at that photo below, see the image on the right side, taken minutes before he was beheaded with an axe like a mere goat, see blood stains on the T-shirt of Commander Hedima, may that blood be upon the head of all those who looted Nigeria's military money from 2010-2015, our $15 billion military procurement budget was stolen into private pockets. Thank you Air marshal Badeh, Air Marshal Amosun, thank you PDP, thank you Uncle Joe & Aunty Pat, the former landlord & landlady of Aso mansions, dia ris God o!

A lot of brave and fine soldiers we've lost bcis of someones greed.
