TROOPS CLEAR BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS FROM AULARI Troops operating in Bama axis on a fighting patrol today cleared Boko Haram terrorists out of Aulari general area located within the Sambisa forest. The troops cleared all the 4 camps located within the area that includes Faldan, Kidiziromari, Kuroshini, Kurumari and Ngulda. One Boko Haram terrorist was killed while trying to escape and about 31 persons were rescued from the terrorists. The troops discovered stockpile of farm produce in metal drums, sacks and underground storage facilities. Other items recovered included several bicycles and motorcycles. Some of the farmlands yet to be harvested were also set ablaze by the terrorists. A wooden rifle used for training and practice by the terrorists was also retrieved. In a related development, troops of 7 Division Garrison conducted 8 fighting patrols along Leje Axis. The troops cleared the area and about 15 other villages around Leje. They include Khadadamamari, Ladin Buta, Hilmari, Kashauri, Keshan Ngala, Aiwa, Masu Kura, Mabirni, Grza 1 and 2, Mashuari, Dubenge, Tauba and Majande. Troops also pursued and destroyed 2 Boko Haram terrorists on motor cycles. Troops have also blocked all known routes to prevent Boko Haram Terrorists from transporting livestock across borders. All these are with a view to stopping the Boko Haram from fueling their terror machines through cattle rustling and illegal trading. As we continue our push to clear all remaining elements of Boko Haram terrorists we call on law abiding citizens of the country to continue providing security agencies with credible information about all known and suspected terrorists. Troops Kill Maiduguri-Bound Suicide Bombers – Army Four would-be suicide bombers were on Wednesday killed by troops near a checkpoint on the outskirts of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, the Nigerian Army has said. The Nigerian Army said one of the four female bombers died when she detonated her explosive vest, while the three others were gunned down by the troops. “Today at about 7.30am 4 female suicide bombers were intercepted by troops and Borno youth, otherwise known as Civilian JTF, ahead of a checkpoint, which is about 25km away from the city of Maiduguri. “Preliminary investigation revealed that suicide bombers were earlier observed trying to bypass a military checkpoint through a nearby village before they were ordered to take the right road. “However, few metres short of the checkpoint, one of the bombers swiftly detonated her vest. The vigilant troops gunned down the other three suicide bombers before they carry out their nefarious acts. “Sadly, one of the Civilian JTF lost his life and 4 other persons sustained various degrees of injuries. “The Nigeria Police Explosive Ordinance Device team in the area safely detonated the unexploded Improvised Explosive Device carried by the other suicide bombers. “The security situation in the area is now cool and calm”, a statement by the spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Sani Usman, read. |

cool318: Yeap; ...... by supporting them in purchasing there products in large quantities, then they would not pack off and leave Nigeria!!!!!!!!!. And with the Proforce ARA/THUNDER MRAP APC under construction, the federal government should really, really support them. |

I'm seeing more and more REVA's taking the brunt of IEDs in the North East. Seems to be a credible vehicle. Any info on how the Bigfoot holds up in IED situations? |

Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by bidexiii: 4:43pm On Dec 17, 2015 |
BlackBaron: The primary objective of an MRAP APC is to protect the lives of the troops inside, both the REVA and CS/VP3 MRAP are both reliable. Both I'll rather be in the REVA APC.......... , it has more compact and ballistic proven especially in Thailand. The BIGFOOT as a pretty good specification also ; ANTI-AMBUSH BALLISTIC PROTECTION * provides NATO STANAG Level 1 ballistic protection, meaning it is proof against fire from small arms firing 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition. Add-on armour can raise this to Level 3. MINE RESISTIVITY * designed to survive a blast in excess of 14kg of TNT (i.e two 7kg blasts) under any of its wheels and is repairable in the field at low cost following blast damage. It's height, weight and armor are just slight setbacks. |

Fynline: Experience is the best master..... . Sambisa forest is littered with I.E.D and our top brass knows if we should continue with the light skinned okota, mowag and the rest, we would soon run out of them, anything shot of MRAP's is undermining :I.E.D!!!!! |
