BREAKING: Shoot-out, explosions rock Maiduguri as Boko Haram battles Nigerian soldiers


Gunmen believed to be members of the Boko Haram were on Sunday evening involved in a shoot-out with soldiers in Aladuwari village – about 2 km away from Maiduguri.
The attackers arrived the area at about 6 p.m. local time, PREMIUM TIMES learnt.
Also at about 8 p.m., two suicide bombers, believed to be females, detonated explosives near FOMWAN school in Jiddari area of Maiduguri. The casualty figure from the explosions is yet to be ascertained.

It would be a miracle if anybody made it alive. A country as big like Nigeria that cannot make a cheap IGIRIGI it's standard for conveying it's men for operations.

I wouldn't blame @henry cos the armed forces procurements can some times disappoint you or let you ear your own words sometimes. @iblawi we are only starting with : 3 UNITS OF JF17 THUNDER/FC-1 MULTIROLE JETS, OTHERS ARE 10 tSUPER MUKSHAK TRAINER AIRCRAFT AND 2 MI-35M ATTACK HELICOPTERS, source is from beegeagles blog.

But some question are to be raised, question like what happened to the ;2014 sept Mi171sh and mi35m yet to be delivered...........?

I mean, the JF-17 is a very very good plane. A Gripen from the east, and i'll be more than elated if we buy the JF-17 block II (which by the way is better than the Gripen C/D).


However, we shouldn't allow blood rush to our heads, yet again, and then get disappointed. As it stands, there is nothing official that confirms we are in line to receive the JF-17.
