I wonder why there's no nationwide protest against this self inflicted fuel scarcity we are suffering Or are we all enjoying this unwarranted hardship It's a disgrace that the so called self acclaimed largest economy in Africa (a oil producing nation) is still importing fuel 16 years into democracy..... I feel sad knowing fully well that for every hardship we go through there are fellow Nigerians who are beneficiary of the system... My government fails to generate power for me n even if I choose to use my own personal money to generate power for myself (via generator) I Still can't... Shame on pdp for their failure of governance 3 Likes |

Building refineries is the solution to our problems in Nigeria. If after four years, buhari refuse to building more refineries to solve the problem of fuel , then I would regard him as a failed president also.. 1 Like 1 Share |

slimmy05: The Federal Government is still spending about N1.81bn daily to subsidise the Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise called petrol, notwithstanding the nationwide scarcity of the product. Latest figures from the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency show that the government is paying N45.28 as subsidy for every litre of petrol consumed in Nigeria. Specifically, the agency, in its pricing template released on May 21, 2015, based on prices for May 20, 2015, stated that the Expected Open Market price or total cost for petrol was N132.28 per litre. This was against a retail regulated price of N87 per litre. The difference between the EOMP and the retail price is therefore N45.28. http://www.punchng.com/business/despite-scarcity-daily-subsidy-on-petrol-hits-n1-81bn/ |

All these ediots still trying to make jonathan a hero and blameless in this situation shall not know peace. It's so silly typing 'Sebi una protest subsidy removal, una eye don clear now'. The partial subsidy removal they agreed on, what was done with the funds? What did it change? Is there also subsidy on diesel? Why is diesel among the scarce fuels? I'm 100% sure if the so called full subsidy had been removed during jonathan's administration then, we still would be facing hardtimes because jonathan and his cohorts are just a bunch of dishonest and cursed people. 17 Likes 6 Shares |

[s] MizzD:[/s] dorrorubbish. The simple common sense question which u should answer is ,was it the right decision or not for the subsidy to be removed? U don't want gej to remove the subsidy and u prefer to suffer, but u will be glad for buhari to remove it. How sensible is that? Why do u have to wait 4yrs just to do the right thing which someone wanted to do 4yrs ago 22 Likes 1 Share |

I don't insult onn dis forum but it is a big disappointment that majority of folks here are still asking the stupid question "shebi una protest d removal of subsidy" The proceeds from d fraudulent partial removal that was used to form shoki in d name of Sure P, wat is d state of d fund today? When crude dropped to$50 per barrel and GEJ after eternity reduced fuel price from 97 to 87 to buy votes, did we "send" him? D diesel dat enjoys zero subsidy, is it in abundance today? Is GEJ regime the only one dat paid subsidy in d history of Nigeria? Make I see any imbecilic fool ask that useless zoological question again since u can't call cluelessness and open eyed fraud it's name when u c it. 12 Likes 1 Share |

otokx: So you think its that simple? Remove subsidy now and get ready to buy fuel at 1,000per litre. The cabals will only turn their insatiable appetite to defenseless Nigerians. The ONLY way is to run refineries in Nigeria, by Nigerians. Let's see the explanation anyone can give for the cost of production at your backyard. Why do you think Dangote made an agreement with Clueless jonah to sell his own when it begins production at foreign market price, it becomes cheap when you produce locally. Thats less profit! The first assgnt of GMB is not to remove it, but settle these gluttons temporarily, get our refineries working and selling cheaper. Stop subsidy. Establish a framework of regulation and hands-off. We are about to have a president finally with balls to stand against cabals to see it through in this way, bringing a lasting solution. The cabals know this. That's why there are trying to get everything they can get now...desperate drowning cabals cling on anything. Even as it is now, you won' t believe how cheap fuel should be. No thanks to corruption. 4 Likes 1 Share |

As a matter of national interest, all the independent marketers{ the likes of forte oil, mrs, mobil etc} that have constituted themselves into saboteurs should not be allowed to own refineries in the nearest future. If those bastards can bring the economy down on its knees, then they dont deserve to go close to the nations wealth anymore. After years of fleecing and looting, all in the name of subsidy. Now, we know who our enemies are. Buhari, please fix our refineries and immediately unveil plans to build new ones, fix the power sector. NIGERIA is too big for this nonsense. 1 Like |

kwiin:leave dem ,dem neva see anything. The pains they refused and rejected in 2012 is the pains they are going to experience by fire by force now with even harsher conditions. If gej had removed the subsidy then, buhari won't face the problem of maketers now and nor will he face the issue of fuel scarcity and subsidy. The whole system would have normalised itself and most likely gej would still have lost the elections still . 2 Likes 1 Share |
