True talk Baba! Oil importers claimed they don't have money to import fuel because of FG debt. Months back before the presidential election when FG reduced petrol pump price,Diezanni claimed that FG was still paying subsidy of N2.50 at pump price of N87
How come subsidy, a small percentage of the total cost,is stopping petrol importers importing the product. We are tired of this mess of a subsidy.
Already, were buying petrol at N150 and 400 across the nation, why would we not live without the so called subsidy.
BABA,THE TIME TO REMOVE FUEL SUBSIDY COMPLETELY IS NOW!

So he will not be cleuless if he removes the subsidy

With this analysis and those of Gani Fawehinmi, Tam David-West and Pat Utomi, I can't agree more. The claim by the government that it pays subsidy is a fraud. It is unfortunate some people say subsidy should be removed even if it means selling products at higher prices. Have asked ourselves the correlation between an election year and subsidy that subsidy increases when there is an election?

There is a subsidy payment.

Government is compelled to basically sell the crude oil below the market price so that Nigerians can get petrol cheaply.

Government can no longer afford it. Its very costly.

Thank you my bros majority of oil marketers are pdp, the people are already buying fuel without subsidy Sai Baba should just officialy remove the subsidy set the pump price and make every oil marketers reapply for liencese to import pms, he should not settle anybody, infact from his statement I dont think anybody will see kobo, he will only pay for what they give him if they dont like let them drink their petrol afterall they have already paid for it

A man that built 2 refineries in this country, many depots and lots of pipelines as HOS and as a petroleum minister, supervised and actively involved in building of 2 others, do u think hes crazy nd clueless like ur man from otuoke.

Buhari is da bomb. Thank God for giving us him, he understand how govt works in this country like die.

Do you have brain at all? Do you know what economic idealogy stimulates mechanization, industry and production? Or do you think the welfare socialist system as you have with NEPA,Nitel,Petrol subsidy etc are sustainable in the long run? If Nitel is unbundled, sold and its sector deregulated for competition without any protest why the sudden clamour against unbundling and deregulating the oil sector? Or do you think government can provide refineries to cater for all our petrol needs without private commercial support? And how do you think you can make that sector attractive for investors? Is it not curbing subsidy and deregulating that sector for commercial competition just as you have with MTN and Etisalat...Go and buy common sense, pls.
Common sense is not when you know the right thing to do and do otherwise.
All your theory is that the market should be allowed to function according to the dictates of demands and supplies.
Yes, we will allow the system to run according to demand and supply but not when you give away everything.
Governance is more than giving away everything to the market forces.
Power distribution is a good example of how government can make wrong decision about privatization of a welfare section of economy without proper supervision.
I am not saying government should give us fuel as a welfare package, and I don't think it has ever been given free in the history of Nigeria.
We want a local production of our crude oil to finished products in our local refinery here in Nigeria. Who owns the refinery is not our business. Let the refinery be located in Nigeria and employed Nigerians.

Una don see am naaah! Baba B pls delete this fraud called subsidy. Imagine a paltry N2.50 from N87 pump price of fuel is what these wolves are holding the country hostage for? Minus subsidy, pump price of fuel will come to N2.50 + N87 = N89.50 going by the last statement the oil minister made after fuel was dropped to N87 from N97 just to back the continous stealing in the name of subsidy.

Lets all say NO to fuel subsidy.

Smh. It is either you didn't read the interview or the analysis of the petroleum industry by Baba was too complex for your brain.

My singular advice for President Buhari is to run a transparent govt. the primaries that picked u for election was transparent, let's contunue from there. Do not hide anything from Nigerians. Even if it is Timubu, Okorocha or whoever is trying to sabotage your effort. Let us know, we will drag them to justice. Don't run a cabal govt like PDP did in the last 16yrs, God bless u and God bless Nigeria.

You didnt make any point in this writeup,it was neither here nor there. What did GEJ give away if not his discretion with doing away with the cabals currently holding us to ransome as far back as 2012? Ohho..You fail to remember the azonto with which you danced on you way to occupy Lagos, didnt you? Commonsense is when oil cabals dupe you to protest against policies that will remove their shackles from your necks. isn't it? What we understand is GEJ tried unbundling the oil sector for industrial competition but the cabals swindled your likes into kicking against it.....Deal with it.
