Check SOL and CSOL list to see occupation that matches your qualification and experience. You check previous post for the list or google the lists.

They will assess your First degree which is equivalent to Australia First degree. So, you are fine. You can decide not to add it.
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by chuckdee13(m): 1:16am On May 29, 2015
so do u advise that i aslo declare my masters n not create a time gap?

What experience do you have? You don't need your second degree for assessment.

Extract from Engineers Australia

I have an Australian postgraduate engineering degree, but my undergraduate degree is from overseas. Can I use my postgraduate degree from Australia as the basis for my qualification assessment application?

The assessment is based primarily on your undergraduate degree and your demonstrated competencies. Your postgraduate degree will be taken into account in that it contributes to your engineering competencies. However, a non-accredited Australian postgraduate degree alone will not meet the academic requirement to confer recognition in Australia.

Similarly a non-accredited Australian postgraduate degree on top of an overseas qualification will not provide automatic recognition in a higher occupational category. You will still have to apply for a formal assessment of your combined qualifications.

You have not told me which area you have experience on. Where do you have your first degree? Don't care about the gap you have in-between really.

That's great then. Generally, Engineers Australia will assess applicants at undergraduate level.

I will advise you not to include your second degree because you don't need it really and even I'm sure it's not recognised as an accredited degree in Australia. The implication is that a non-accredited Australian postgraduate degree alone will not meet the academic requirement to confer recognition in Australia. It doesn't give you any extra point in Australian immigration as well. Why then are you bothering yourself? Don't worry about the gap. If you obtained your first degree in Nigeria, it is regarded as an unaccredited degree in Australia. In that case, you will need to write CDR. Kindly refer to Engineers Australia booklet for details of what you need to do.

IELTS vs. PTE

Now I am beginning to reconsider my stance about IELTS objectivity and if it has not been turned to a money-spinning machine.

A colleague of mine in Nigeria just rang me. He's written IELTS twice and about to write the third one when I flicked him NNBB2012's text about a guy's ordeal with IELTS and his decision to opt for PTE - which was positive to earn him migration points.

My friend fell below par in his two previous IELTS exams (always >7 in three bands and <7 in one) and had registered to take the third one. He registered for PTE, got an offer to do the test two days thereafter and he got his result the following day! Outcome? Full migration points!

Registration, test (including speaking) and result notification were all online, all in 3 days! No hassles trying to get a slot, doing the exams in two sessions and endlessly waiting for the results as the 2-week notice IELTS indicates for notification is now failing due to the enormous amount of applications/tests they have to process. Someone told me IELTS is raking in money more that all foreign embassies in Nigeria combined!
