Bollinger: Q: Do native Americans recieve compensation from the US govt? A: No, American Indians DO NOT receive compensation from the US Government. However, the US Government has a TRUST RESPONSIBILITY to American Indians and as the Trustee, collects revenue earned from land, minerals, water, etc. on behalf of *some* individual American Indians and *some* tribes. *Not all.* The US Government then distributes the money (which is the NDN's money to begin with) back to those NDNs for whom it was collected. Again, this does not apply to all American Indians, just those who have retained their land, mineral, water rights through treaty AKA a "contract." |

lexy2014: I provided Panacea as a substitute to stoppage of the stipends. Develop infrastructures, relocate offices of Oil companies to the states of Niger Delta and make them pay taxes and engage in community development. Mobil, Addax, Chevron, etc have no business being in Lagos. Daura President should use Presidential fiat to move them to host communities. We need change, not 50kobo, we need to make sure things are done differently, that's the mantra that people voted for. We will not accept to be scammed. 1 Like |

Bollinger: I do not need to rebut any thing it is a fundamental part of discourse if you introduce "facts" that you have a responsibility to substantiate them Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat It is incumbent on he who declares to prove not on he who disputes. Give us a source for public records for your claim that all native Americans are "compensated for life" |

asapeola: I forget that I am talking to a Nigerian. When we say native we mean 100 percent indian. not half caste. Full Native American. Hence the emphasised on "native". what do you think the funds given to trustees are used for? first you said I lied, now you've Googled and seen facts you are now saying i am right but not completely. Sometimes Google is not your friend. You have to live it to understand it. 2 Likes |

Billyonaire:You obviously getting things wrong. do u get so bitter that you thought are mis guided... oil companies should relocate their offices to ND like they don't pay yearly royalties fee to the indigene to a place where their safety is not guaranted. How come some few people are extremely rich in the region yet nothing of a development is happen ring there. 1 Like |

Bollinger: This is the bone of contention. It is untrue according to you this i a matter of public record please provide a source for this. Bollinger: You are insecure and petty that is why you feel a need to belittle.Of what relevance is it whether it is a Nigerian or Togolese. Again to back up your bullshit you introduce another lie. Bottomline is you are talking about things you do not understand. Some Native Americans receive some entitlements under specified circumstances. It does not discriminate "half -caste" or not that is rubbish. Those entitlements do not accrue to every Native American wherever they are and they are not "compensation" you need to check the legal meaning of that word and not because "They are the landlords" of America as you claim e.g . The cicumstances vary from place to place and these are often payments or projects or other entitlements to communities rather than individuals. A Native American living in Brooklyn does not get payments for life that is just rubbish .On the other hand if he was living in designated "reserves" would receive some government aid or entitlement whether they are half caste or not. This came about not because they are landlords but because they were often very poor and disadvantaged and White America felt guilty about their plight not unlike Almajiri schools etc. Are we to say Almajiri schools are "compensation"? The relationship between the US and Native Americans is complex but is based on several treaties signed with different groups. Some groups have a stronger legal position and even have entitlement to some oil and mineral rights others do not it is not the same across board |

omonnakoda: Nigerians have weird sense of reasoning as is the case here, which is why I said what I said in the first place. Also, I know not all Indians get compensation which is why I stressed on the "native". like I said I am assuming a Nigerian would know what that meant. Every native Indian gets compensation for life. 1 Like |

Native America land is a conquered territory, the Caucasians are their conquerors. America situation cannot be used to look at the ND situation, the dynamics differ. For a start, ND is not a conquered territory. Oil producing communities in Europe, if there are any should be a better example. |

Bollinger:And who is the arbiter of weirdness? To determmine that another person's reasoning is free of weirdness do you use your own reasoning as the gold standard? NO ONE gets compensation so let us stop that !! You can check what compensation in this context means .It is a legal concept. Some people may get aid or grants or entitlement but Not compensation Secondly they are not "Indians" they are Native Americans that is the correct terminology but let us accept your term "Native Indan" You claim that Every native Indian gets compensation for life. So rather than rendering endless verbiage can you provide a source for this claim which is what is the bone of contention Every native Indian gets compensation for life. How much do they get and from whom and what is its legal basis/status |

It would be unwise 2 end d programme. I would rather suggest u reform d structure within d organisation. Any attemppt 2 discontinue d programme will be met with stiff opposition. Trust me GMB, u̶̲̥̅̊ don't want 2 begin ur administration with a renewed crisis in a region that sustains d nation. Trust me on this one |

I don't seem to understand Some Niger delta characters that we have on this forum..The Amnesty programme hasn't benefitted the common man on the street of Niger delta, instead it only favours the lords of the creeks. Now you have a leader who wants to cut that by investing directly on projects that will impact on the life of an average niger deltan and you still shouting war and foul..Smh out of thread. |
