I totally agree with SNC. Like we told your brother then, that he was organising a national jamboree to have a pedestal to seek for re-election. He was too beclouded with election gimmick for him to see that, he was putting the cart before the horse.

For there to be a truly SNC, the following must happen :

1. We must lobbied for referendum to be passed into our constitution.

2. There should be nothing like "no-go-area" discussion.

3. Representatives of various ethnicities should be elected and not chosen by govt or group.of kangaroo people.

4. The outcome of the SNC must only be ratified by referendum at regional levels.

5. The outcome of the referendum must be binding on all.

Yoruba people called for the jamboree.

Political hallucinations! All these tribal ants failed to realise that there are tribes within their so called tribes. Village square orators who are victims of fallacy of generalisation. They think that nations are divided using rulers and compass... Are our governors not products of our tribes? Yet they failed the states and their own blood. Creating tribal cracks for our political lizards to hide is actually our path to stagnancy.

Creating inter-tribal hatred through utterances, past leaders using political restructuring to make some tribes superior to the others; refusing to listen to the yearnings of other tribes for political reforms because the favoured tribes believe all is well - these are the causes of Nigeria's problems of today.

When you gang up on tribal lines to subdue other tribes, and the subdued tribes cry out loud, you label them tribalists.

Really?

It shows how influential Yorubas are, if they can single handedly call for a jamboree and all of you agreed.

In your mindset, you must have believed that crude oil is all there is for a country to survive and forge nationhood. Nationhood is very important for any country to thrive. Nigeria refused to achieve nationhood owing to greed of people like you.

For years, calls have gone out for political reforms in Nigeria but you people believe that some parts of Nigeria with what are in them are war booties.
So what's this all about if not oil? Believe me, the SW does not care. See who is talking about nationhood and greed? It beats me. Your region is most heterogeneous in Nigeria, your leaders are the most unaccountable in this country. Create your godamn nation for all I care, and stop flexing e-me-muscles on NL.

Buhari visits UK's 10 Downing Street with UK prime Minister David Cameron. The UK allows regional referendum on topical issues. But shall Buhari ever allow referendum in Nigeria's constitution?

Soldiers from northern Nigeria who supervised the 1999 constitution refused regional referendum in the constitution.

The 36 states political structure with undue large number of 19 states + Abuja created in the north - with ensuing undue large legislative representation of north in the NASS - shall never allow passage of a bill for regional referendum in Nigeria's NASS.

Where were these Jokers when others were asking for a SOVEREIGN National Conference? They didn't see anything wrong with the powerless club meeting organised by their son Jonathan.

Now that Nigeria has rejected his leadership, the scales have fallen from their eyes. Before the unity of Nigeria can be negotiated, the National Assembly (Upper and Lower houses) must establish a Sovereign Conference with necessary authority for Referendum. I don't see that happening especially now that the legislators have a new ruling party.

You would have to choose between patience and militancy. One option leads to certain decimation of your youthful population. It is sad that selfishness and ethnocentrism led you to endorse the mistakes of Jonathan instead of demanding astute leadership from him.

You are a bride of Nigeria and you will not be divorced anytime soon. Now you must play the opposition after your campaign of hate.

Good luck to you.

Chai! 10marks for you

You can't distract Buhari with your insatiable desires.

True talk. Their greed and tribalism is atrocious to say the least.

The amalgamation treaty of 1914 created Nigeria but did not specify end-date for the treaty or for Nigeria to cease to exist as a country.

It is therefore foolish, irresponsible and treasonable for those oil-bunkering bigots, pipeline vandals and environmental polluters to question the existence of Nigeria.

In Russia, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait etc, federal governments have ownership of resources found on their territories. This is a contitutional provision in Nigeria as well. So, those Ijaws that occupy that area of Nigeria do so on lease and not freehold.

It is a despicable and reprehensible tribalism that the Ijaws want an Ijaw state carved out of any states they may be.

What a squalid little thought that any tribe split across two or more states should seek to be united in a state of their tribe? The world has advanced beyond being tied to one's mother's apron string.

Nigeria as country is not negotiable. The earlier those Ijaw mischief-makers get it into their heads, the sooner they will spare themselves unimaginable self-inflicted damnation.

Let us learn not to put all the blame at the doorstep of the north. The north is even more diverse than the south. What they have learnt to do very well is collaborating and mutually beneficial co-operation among themselves.

Why on earth is NC still in strong ties with core north, despite their obvious marginalisation? Reason it out.

UK constitution recognises referendum but yours does not.

First thing is how to build bridge to secure enough number at the national assembly, that will allow referendum to be inserted into our constitution.

I wonder the concern of some people, Just like APC coming to power, if these areas crying for renegotiation are constant and use the right channel, they will get what they want, sitting and doing nothing gains nothing.

how i wished tinubu had used his energy and resources to support the confab. to pursue resource control and regionalism .it would have been more beneficial to Nigeria and yuroba nation.these are the key to nigeria development and peaceful co-existence.

The issue here is one of numbers. For some strange reason we have reduced every question about the political economy of this country to oil and gas. Nobody seems to care about any of the large number of dormant resources in this country but only about OIL.

Unfortunately, the oil producing states are only about 10 in number and in a clear minority. It's clearly not a question of building "bridges" because turkeys will never vote for Christmas. The fraudulent 1999 constitution also makes that option impossible leaving only extra-constitutional methods as the only viable alternatives. One such option is to reduce crude export to a trickle and you don't have enough soldiers in Nigeria to stop that.
