The OP and the 1st to comment are fools,do you just get things from your so called associate and post?look at the 2nd pic clearly, use your brain while doing that please, you would see a problem with the structure, look at the buildings around it in the pic, they are more like on a hill but stupidly you posted a pic of a house down a canal,am suprised I can't see flood up there.mofos 2 Likes 1 Share |

From the picture, it appears that is the area surrounding the Obawole- Haruna bridge. While I am not absolving the government, I think we need to consider where we build our structures. It is very important. |

Until sanity returns to Nigeria you better don't build on natural water ways. I laugh in French when I see stupidity by some Nigerians, in the name of "me too I build house" go buy Valley; naturally the lowest point in any area where water will find its level. 2 Likes |

Those houses are illegal. It's not an issue with lagos, the owners of those houses simply built their houses on a low land. I am very certain those structures never had approval from the govt. And the services of a surveyor wasn't sought by the owners. Not every flood issue is due to lack of drainage. Take a look at the pics again, an you will agree that the houses might even be siting on a natural pathway for drainage. How come the buildings on the highlands in the pics weren't flooded? 3 Likes |

Obviously the location of the buildings looks like its a waterway. The government should put restrictions concerning building structures on waterways. I guess the governor will do the needful.

hahn:I can tell you that is not obawole, the immediate local govt chairman actually did a lot concerning drainage.ofcus it happens in lag but I can tell you it's not obawole,I drove around while it was raining heavily but I tell you,it wasn't this bad.obawole is actually on a hill and those on the shallow part of it have been taken good care of in terms of flooding.i can show you tarred roads erosion washed away but not to this level |
