chimajii: BET have long been known to relagate dancehall, reggae, grime,jazz,funk and afrobeats but they'll spend so much time celebrating hip hop mediocrity. They are like that very corporate, and would only pander to the immediate hip hop crowd. My initial reaction was to think Wizkid was rude and unprofessional. However on looking into the background story, I totally support him. It is ridiculous if they are given their awards backstage simply because they are Africans. Coming from BET makes it more ridiculous. Discriminating among blacks, and you expect the other races not to follow your example. All Africans should boycott BET as long as this situation goes on. 11 Likes |
