NubiLove: Thanks for the respond. pls have you made used of UPS as an inverter before? what are the advantages over the other. ? How much is the 1000watts |

I have never used UPS as an inverter before. mukhcech: |
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by mctfopt: 5:07pm On Dec 14, 2016 |
mukhcech: UPS is cheaper than inverter. But it has its own limitations . The inbuilt charger is small since it's meant to charge small capacity batteries eg 12V 7AH. So to use it you'll require an external charger. Most inverters come with inbuilt charger capable charging big size batteries eg 12V 200AH. Most UPS are of low capacity eg 650VA, 800VA and 1KVA ( big capacity UPS exist, but for the purpose of this thread the UPS I meant are those that power at most 2 computers in the office) So the choice of which to go for is seriously dependent on your pocket and what you intend to power. I hope this is helpful. Other bigger ogas are welcome to contribute 1 Like |

ceejay80s: Ceejay, how far? Long tym. Will soon join you on this solar panel set-up. It's my next plan. I'm only constrained by limited funds for now. My inverter set-up is still doing very fine. I will, however, require just about only a 150w solar panel and a 20A CC 1 Like |

Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by Valto(m): 11:35pm On Dec 16, 2016 |
ceejay80s:congrats bro, u are surely getting there. e no easy.. with this, its easier to upgrade. any time u which, just a add a 150watts solar panel to it and u are done, since u have a total 260amp deep cycle batteries. when i was using just 400w panel on my 400amps batteries, it wasnt charging optimally as i wish, not until i added another 150w panel. now i dont really bother if there is light, cos my batteries are well charged 1 Like |

Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by Valto(m): 10:03am On Dec 17, 2016 |
ceejay80s:i used a 2.5mm wire. though i know it might not be very efficient. but i will upgrade to a more thicker wire, when i buy 1 more 150w panel. nepa now bring light for just 10mins per day since December 1st. |
