You should be proving your faith in Jesus by going in the bush, picking up a venomous snake, and walking back to town with it. Or u should be out there healing Ebola patients, not coming here to post bible verses. It's verse 18, not 17. I abandoned Christianity because there was no Jesus. But since you say that you believe in him, how did you rationalize the litmus test that he supposedly designed himself? According to Jesus, magical signs accompany people who believe in him. Signs like drinking a gallon of antifreeze, or putting a mamba around your next for recreation. Signs like restoring limbs and curing immunodeficient humans. These are the signs that follow believers of the real Jesus. Can you do any of those? 1 Like 1 Share |

winner01: A - Can I rephrase that to say 'Our ability to know right from wrong is evidence of God'? Could you elucidate a bit what this quote means? What is considered right/wrong varies across different numerous tribes/regions around the world. Can this be said to be evidence of multiple Gods? Are all humans born with the same concept/understanding of morality? Note similarity doesn't necessarily mean same. B - And WHO has claimed nature 'gave' us a conscience? An example of each: a. Slavery is wrong b. I think of slavery as wrong In the first, moral language (the word "wrong" is attributed to the ACTUAL ACT of slavery. In the second, moral language is PREDICTED TO MY OPINION. What I am arguing is that, if objective moral values do not exist, then sentences of the first type are meaningless. The reason is that if there is no objective moral reality, then moral language doesn't refer to any existent thing. Why do we say this word? Slavery is wrong if objective morality do not exist ? Instead of "I THINK slavery is wrong. |
