Stop your deliberate idiocy and be real for once. If you seek to ascribe the working refineries on your dull Deity (Buhari) who categorically rebuked his foolish worshippers that he has nothing to do with it; then kindly also pin our depreciating naira, Boko haram menace on his door steps.

Your quote in bold just summed up a disappointing day for me on this board . . . . .Am shocked the cerebral pro Buhari folks have exited the stage for pungent dull headed progressives to soil their game . . . . . .

What are bolding and colouring there. "from below 150 to above "220" i meant to type.
Take note, im referring to black market rate.

Bro Thats what we call speculation or better still a hasty conclusion!
...Any one can claim that an "unknown" pengassan official said this or that....
without stating his name and providing incriminating evidence to substantiate his claims ,all i can see is just the "usual beer parlour gist"..... cool

@ the bolded,
shocked shocked shocked bro are you for real....You Know such assertions are untrue....How would u claim TAM was carried out secretly(or using your own words "quietly" ) without the minister's knowledge?
Such reasoning is likened to a cobbler who polished ur shoes without your knowledge...haba

Where the person comes from is of little importance...whats imperative is whether such confidante of yours is non-partisan and can provide evidence of his wild claims...simple!!

You shouldn't bother yourselves with the ramblings of gullible goats they have traded brains in for mere pocket change.

Simple question: Were the refineries.functional.during GEJ's administration? Why were subsidy payments so high?

Since the answer to the first question is NO, all these bandaid analysis is a waste of time.

To his credit, the last few weeks of GEJ's administration were the most active. Only then did Nigerians know that someone was really in-charge. The fact remains that GEJ blew one of the biggest opportunities God could give to man. And just like Julius Ceasar, he misinterpreted or do I say, was betrayed by sorcerers. They never believed in their wildest imagination that "change" could happen. The only thing constant in life is change.

This post sort of defeats its very purpose don't you think?. President Jonathan had 6yrs to fix the Refineries and get them to work.. How many Nigerians do you honestly think come online to read?

You are a very big LIAR.
Jonathan transformed NOTHING. Nigerians are some of the most IGNORANT human beings in the world that is why you can post this falsehood with confidence. Nigeria had the opportunity to grow refineries through in situ expansion to double the current capacities but we did not. WHY?. Oil was selling at $100 a barrel and we could easily have done it . So why did we not. Why also did we spend about five years to do TAM on all the refineries and are only opening them up now?. Because they needed to raise billionaires amongst their friends and cronies.
Refineries are a routine business and every 2.5 years they go for small TAM and every 5 years they go for big TAM.
The business is technically intensive but Sudan, Jamaica and small west African countries run refineries as a common business. Any President who calls TAM a Transformation has insulted you. The same way they put old rocketry locomotives on refurbished coaches running on 100 year rail lines and called it transformation. The refineries that are just producing now should have finished TAM (even without the expansion) years ago but the CORRUPT cabal must steal from UN informed young men like you through unnecessary importation.
This was the same cluelessness brought into LNG. The man promised Niger Delta governors Brass LNG , he even used it as an excuse for not putting the money down for another train at Bonny LNG, this project would have opened up the economy of his native Bayelsa State like never before . Nothing g was done on that. Even the dividend Nigeria was making from the running trains in Bobby LNG was mis appropriated for years.
You guys should stop deceiving yourselves. It is your life and your country. Some people have sold you into second slavery and you should condemn even if they are from yoir tribe. It is your life and your country.

The PULL-HIM-DOWN attitude of the CHANGErians will not allow them to see the reality on Ground before coming to Nairaland to spew thrash.

But one thing is certain that "Bi iro ba lo ni ogun odun, otito yoo leke" (If falsehood does on for twenty years, truth will always prevail)

CHANGErians if falsehood and propaganda is your promised CHANGE to NIGERIANS, continue to do that, but have it at the back your mind that we will not fall for your falsehood, becuase with your lies, it that CHANGErians are not ready for the CHANGE they preached

What u have written has substance, however you are either a time waster or you are just looking for ways to score cheap points against the president who had categorically stated that he's not the president that should take credit for the refineries. Are you trying to tell us that what u hear from some Apc supporters quarters carries weight more than what the president himself stated.? U may have split personality

Barcanista is not trying to gain any cheap point here. What @Barcanista is trying to do is to put a stop to CHANGErians here on nairaland who are trying all means to feed people with false and wrong information.
What the APC CHANGErians are doing is that they are trying all means to paint GEJ in bad image, thinking this will be be an image booster for Buhari.

All I see above is a gang of very intelligent men and woman(ECOTTERRORS, in absentia) worshipping a very foolish and daft ex-president.

I dont need to read the entire epistle. What I know is enough to debunk the merit of the refinery-revival to Jonathan.

1) Why did Jonathan set 2016 as the time for the refineries to be in adequate-capacity as against 3rd quarter of 2015 which Buhari's Government made it possible.
2)if there was any plan for Jonathan to make it work this 2015, he sure would have used it for campaign. As he used anything possible that gained popularity during his tenure including those locomotive trains, invincible niger-delta bridge and several other rubbish.
3) why was the federal government's yearly budget for subsidy at its peak during Jonathan's regime?

You're more daft and foolish for displaying your stupidity without shame and showing ignorance while calling people that achieved what your dad never achieved daft and foolish...

To show you that you know nothing but a blind bat and empty vessel making noise around and about;...

1)First quarter 2016 is for OPTIMUM or 90% performance... and no report has countered this so far...

2)Agreement signed with local engineers was that production will be going on with TAM pari parsu...

3)He can't use it for campaign given the level of work done then...which continued after he lost...

4)Why not do an analysis of value of naira at said period alongside quantity of product imported that made fuel queues at fuel stations to disappear...

@Whynotthetruth, the CHANGErian agent will not read, all they are concerned about is to pull down all the efforts of the GEJ administration, this has blindfolded their eyes from seeing the truth.
Well its a pitty how some people have been programmed for LIES and PROPAGANDA.

You claimed that GEJ fixed the refineries, why is he so interested in removing oil subsidies knowing that the refineries will soon start productions. Why is the too much corruption in that NNPC. Because you dislike PMB you want to discredit his achievements. But we know better. We know all these things must happen that's why we voted PMB.

GEEk's supporters are as dumb as he is. That's why they identify with him so strongly.

Refineries that were already working were used to milk the Nation dry and some fools still can't realize that.

Even GEJ knows that he's supporters are daft.

They want to bamboozle anybody that goes contrary to their LIES and PROPAGANDA. What they failed to realize is that lies will not last long, their aim is to keep this government going with their lies and propaganda while doing nothing for NIGERIAN who voted for CHANGE only to discover that CHANGErians have dooped them with their LIES and PROPAGANDA against GEJ.

But one thing is sure, its better PMB instruct its CHANGErians agents to stop their LIES & PROPAGANDA, if not the implication will be too disastrous for this Government. Because NIGERIANS are not patients with their lies & propaganda.

I spoke with a PENGASSAN official with NNPC.
His short answer is that the then Minister of Petroleum sabotaged all efforts to restart the refineries due to her shady crude swap deals and petroleum importation interests.

In fact some of the repair work were quietly being undertaken right under her nose but without her knowledge. Mind you the PENGASSAN confidante of mine is of SS origin.

You failed to state the job of this official and his technical speciality. Hearsay, rumour and gossip is not always equal to truth and factual investigation, oh!

The reported speech of one so-called, faceless PENGASSAN official does not confer authenticity to your report, oh. It would have been more interesting, if his assertion was supported by facts, figures, investigative analysis etc, to prove that the comments were indeed true, so that Diezani could be indicted for wrong doing, if found culpable. sad

Why is there so much reliance on rumour instead of factual evidence, in this country?? shocked

That is why EFCC has not been able to secure a conviction in any case of fraud, till date!

Guy, abeg educate yourself! Even if ALL the refineries are working at optimum capacity, the total amount they can produce per day is 21 million litres of petrol per day. Our daily consumption nationwide, stands at 40 million litres, per day. We would still have to import fuel to bridge the shortfall and prevent scarcity, in some regions. undecided

Atleast the refineries will be producing producing 21million liters unlike under GEJ which they never producing 1 liters.. Atleast that means under PMB we will import less fuel for now and soon we won't anymore... Accept change bro and embrace the new Govt that mean better for the country unlike the past Govt that only wanna keep looting the country dry.
