You can also get an international driving license from Nigeria before coming to the UK. It is valid for a year so you can start driving immediately you get here before taking your tests.

Chai, you people like scare tactics oooo grin

That is not scare tactics i'm just stating the fact.

Hello Justwise and House...kindly assist with this.
I have been denied US student visa 3 times in the past this year before i decided to opt for UK instead. I have gotten my CAS and i am at the application stage. I know i have to state whether i have been denied visas to other countries before which i have done. My question is this:

1. Will this have any negative effect on my application?
2. Do i need to explain in the space given for additional information?

I will appreciate all the advice i can get.

1, It will not have any negative effect along as its nothing criminal.

2. You only give a brief explanation, nothing too detail.

Hello house,

My passport expires June 5, 2017 and I will be applying for a tier4 dependant visa on 23 November, 2016. My question is - Hope my passport expiry date won't affect my application outcome? Or should I get another one before I apply? Av been to the immigration office, they said I can't renew until it is less than 6 months.

2) Can a tier4 dependant use a priority service?

@ just wise and the gurus in the house, pls help

Not claiming to be a guru buh.. As far as your passport has up to 6months validity, you r good to go. No need to renew it. As for priority service, its for anyone that can afford it. All in all go ahead and apply for your visa

For UK:
1. Degree program is more than 1 year. So yes! He is able to take his wife as a dependant.

2. He will need to show proof of having ~8,000 -9,000 pounds in his wife's account which must have stayed untouched for 1 full month. That money is to show that he has what it takes to take care of his wife for at least 9 months.

Question: Is he on a scholarship or he is self sponsored?

Hello house,

For a tier4 dependant application, is it compulsory that the main applicant passport front page and Brp card/visa page photocopies be certified by a solicitor?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 11:19pm On Nov 14, 2016

@justwise, please house I applied for refund after withdrawing from a UK Uni at the point of booking my appointment after meeting all requirements from school and the UK tier 4 visa. I lost someone close to me so I had to change my post study to Canada. Now the school said their normal policy is not to refund me but in exceptional case of loss of someone, they would need the death certificate before my refund can be authorised. Is this normal please? Do I have to go through that procedure?

If that is what the school say then you must follow their system.
Never mind what other schools do, you applied to that school and must accept their conditions.

Which school?

I actually thought they refund the money less administrative fees.

Do you have the death certificate?

Not sure you will get that back, get your £2050 and move on. Not fair though because £250 is some money in this recession

Hello all, I trust you all are doing well settling in school and course work.

I want to ask, if I am applying for visa, do I do so as a residence permit holder (BRP tier 4), or I should apply with my Nigerian passport.
Thanks
