I support the immunity clause for Senate president, speaker house of assembly and Judicial head as this will stop interfere in activities of the NASS and judiciary by the executive. Alternatively, let all immunity clauses both on the president and the governors be scrapped.

they do. what they are trying to do will have an effect on the constitution. are you saying they can amend the constitution without the executive's input?
If he refuses to sign, he can be over ride and it will become law. that us why when ever there is a disagreement over such things, a political solution is sort so as not to make the president loss face

Please let us for once strive along the course of building our nation rather than building personalities. We are blessed with a selfless leader let the progressives in the legislature and the judiciary take the front stage fearlessly to sanitise our system. We need to live as humans rather than animals serving only the strong. The concept that someone is found to abuse his office and enriched himself with publics funds and that a caveat is been sought for him to jump justice will kill the system. In civilised societies where governance is given the seriousness it deserved the allegations wielded against Saraki by a constitutional institution like the CCT will first have him resigned as the president of the senate. Nigerians must stand in unison behind govt institutions fighting any corrupt person if we want to build an ellegantarian society. We have the opportunity with Buhari.
I pity you. Oh! So u think ur buhari is the solution to Nijas many problems n his is yet to raise an eyelid against the fulani herds men. U are on a long thing. So politician has ur interest at heart. D people who the powers lie with have failed to use it. Its a pity. What have you guys done to tinumbu who owns almost half of lagos aquired with public fund? Sitdown there dey wait for buhari.

That would make history.

Two-third votes are for passing bill, for that bill to become law, the President must sign (assent to) it

No sir, they cannot override the President. even they know that. why don't you do some research and find out yourself. you can use Google.
*modified*
you are actually right. they can override the presidency by 2/3 majority vote.

No they can't. even if all of them vote for it. they are just one arm of government. the executive is another arm consisting of the presidency at the federal level and the governors again the state level.

That's why the President sends bill to the National Assembly, otherwise what's to stop him from passing laws by himself.
Madam stop saying what you don't know!!

wow, our educational system must be in a very terrible state if some people actually don't know that the National Assembly can't pass a law without the input of the President.

aren't schools supposed to teach civic studies or social studies?

You ppl need to understand that this is 1 of the differences btw GMB and GEJ...GEJ will gladly sign this kind of bill, hence we labeled him corrupt. If GMB signs this bill,he will lose the goodwill of the people and even the dullest person on this forum knows that,so its a dead case.

You're either stupid or illiterate. What has APC gotta do with this? Isn't it same APC that never wanted Saraki and now tries removing him by crook or by means? Given the will displayed so far by the party, is the handwriting not written on the wall APC's resolve to fight corruption? Check very well, it is the same party of thieves called PDP that's frustrating APC's noble agenda.
Go check your record, Leo ogor is PDP. Idiot!

That will be Dead on Arrival. They will require 2/3 majority votes from at least 2/3 of the 36 State Houses of Assembly. The whole thing won't fly! I can bet that the States will kill it! Useless criminals
