Portsmouth86: That shouldn't bother at all, that is normal since they interviewed you as the sponsor. Be positive because you did all that is expected from you even more. |

Simplesoul05: Place of issue and issuing authority information are all in your passport there. Why are you referring the country where you are now as your country? If that place is your country then why do you need permit to live there? |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by phardey: 2:58pm On Feb 03, 2016 |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by abnot: 4:03pm On Feb 03, 2016 |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by phardey: 5:40pm On Feb 03, 2016 |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 9:16pm On Feb 03, 2016 |
Simplesoul05: You need to read each question headline and answer accordingly. They were asking about your wife's passport number then your father and mother details and dependants |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 3:58am On Feb 04, 2016 |
sinead15: Do a thorough research on this thread and don't get yourself confused. All you need do is fill separate applications for you and your daughter; book a date for submission of application at Teleperformance in Lagos or Abuja. Even though you won't be interviewed, be prepared for one as applicants are selected randomly for visa interview. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 4:02am On Feb 04, 2016 |
Simplesoul05: Yes, fill in your wife's passport details if she has one. Fill in your Father and Mother's details and not that one your wife. Hope you're clear? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 4:12am On Feb 04, 2016 |
Simplesoul05: The issuing authority is The "Nigeria Immigration Service" and I think you should attend to "personal" questions yourself. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by abnot: 9:35am On Feb 04, 2016 |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Rihannaola(f): 10:29am On Feb 04, 2016 |
abnot:How long ago did you submit your application? Did you submit in VI? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by abnot: 11:50am On Feb 04, 2016 |
Yea submitted in VI on Feb 1 . Got an email from UKVI Sheffield on Feb 3 acknowledging receipt of my application. Was wondering why they had to send it all the way to Sheffield when they had DBHC in Lagos and BHC in Abuja |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Rihannaola(f): 12:24pm On Feb 04, 2016 |
abnot:Yes, quite right. Non-priority Visit visas and Settlement visas coming from Canada, US and Nigeria are being processed in Sheffield. All others in Lagos and Abuja. I guess the Sheffield office had less workload than some other BDHCs hence they're being buffed up. |

Hello everyone, I am applying for a business visitor visa soon to enable me take d PLAB 2 examination for doctors. As a student in a foreign country, I had gotten multiple 2 year UK visas that allowed me visit the UK during my holidays. I didn't consider the technicalities of getting a UK VISA to be such a big deal until 2014. When I applied for a UK visa in Nigeria as a worker. I must admit I made so many mistakes...From money lodgement, to not providing a salary account statement and also spending 5months in the UK during my last visit. OF COURSE I WAS REJECTED. Now I am pursuing a career defining opportunity in the UK and I would like to ask a few questions... 1. Should I defend/explain why I stayed in the UK for 5months and also the money lodgement in my new application or totally ignore it and treat dis application as an independent entity? 2. I have been rejected visit visas to the Usa and Canada, should I include their rejection paper/letter as part of the documents? 3. I work in a private hospital, and my boss doesn't pay my salary till d middle of the next month and not on any specific day. Should I explain that 'irregularity' to the ECO? 4. I received some cash payments for a LEGAL business deal totalling 600k about 4months ago which I paid into my salary account. Should I explain this to the ECO considering I have no documents to back my explanation. ****my closing balance excluding that 600k is still around 2.2m more than enough for my 8 day trip. GOD BLESS U AS U HELP ME |

westindiandoc:1. You should consider writing/typing out on a different paper perhaps titled Additional Information - Finances, and explain such money lodgements, and then giving specific examples in reference to your current bank statement of account with which you're applying. 2. No, you shouldn't. It's there in your passport. If they need that (which they won't) they'll request for it, and you can then provide it. 3. Do explain in no more than a paragraph. If you can, get a supporting letter from your boss acknowledging these irregularities. 4. Explain, explain, explain. Again, no more than a paragraph. NB: Your additional info (besides that which space is provided on your application) should fit into a page. You don't want to bore nor confuse the Entry Clearance Officer. Good luck! |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by westindiandoc: 1:45pm On Feb 04, 2016 |
Rihannaola: Thanks for d advice. I will try and get a pay slip from my difficult boss that should be a better explanation I guess? Then for d cash deposit, I will do my best to explain and hope dey believe me. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by westindiandoc: 4:14pm On Feb 04, 2016 |
justwise: Justwise, the reason I stayed in the UK for 5months was to write an American board exam not available in Nigeria. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of my scheduling permit as proof. What should I do? Should I go ahead and state this seemingly unconvincing reason in my new application? |
