GentleToks:
I am an Akure indegene and it's a known fact that Igbos have enjoyed a peaceful co-existence with Yorubas in Akure for years. You need to see the Igbos in Akure to know what i am talking about; they have literally become Akure bona fide indegenes with their children speaking the local dialect fluently.

However, it will be suicidal for Igbos not to be boundary conscious like their Hausas/Fulanis counterparts who are equally at the same level with Igbos as far as business and population are concerned. The Hausas/Fulanis own all the shops in Sabo along Odo-Ijoka road towards the state stadium and all the way towards the mini Sabo along Oba-Adesida road. They own all the shops in the Sabo at Odo-Ikoyi junction as well as the money exchange business by Post office junction towards Oba palace.

These Hausas/Fulanis are making their freaking Benjamis but maintaining and keeping low profile. Igbos need to learn that spirit of humility and respect from these Hausas/Fulanis.

In eventuality of Igbos being seen by Akure indegenes as tribal enemies, the outcome could better be imagined. Those guys aren't smiling menh cos war/fight is their daily watchwords. I believed that some Igbo elders witnessed what happened in Akure in early 80s(Omoboriowo riot in which Akure indegenes were burning and killing people on the streets).

I ll implore Igbos not to allow the money they have made to get into their heads cos money is the bane of all evil. The peace and sanity they have enjoyed over 50years in Akure should be protected and cherished at all cost by obeying and respecting our traditional values. That's the only demand(Respect our cultural values) of Akure people from Igbos and others unlike where Igbos are being taxed by the indegenes. Nobody is taxing or demanding all sorts from Igbos in Akure and this alone should be appreciated by Igbos.

It appears that Akure is unfortunate to have borderline idiotic Deji. I remembered one such Deji that beat up his wife in the public that lady was completely naked. As result of such unbecoming behavior of Deji, the dumbass was dethroned. This joker again is trying very hard to destroy the age-long cordial relationship between the people of Ondo State and Ndiigbo. There are two sets of Yari.ba peeps that tend to naturally gravitate toward Ndiigbo. They are peeps from Ondo State and Ijebu from Ogun State.

MayorofLagos:

You call Ibo criminality exploits. Have you not heard the whispers through the social media? There is question about the success of Ibo entrepreneurship and more people want to know why every Ibo mega market is a breeding ground for drug traffickers, kidnappers and robbers.

Fashola was not supported by Ibo either. Im goingvto use analogy to illustrate his situation.

He was naive to think diversifying the bedroom portrays good neighborliness. He wanted global status for Lagos and planted Ibos to please global observers that Lagos is a liberal city and free of the typical human rights abuses reputed in African Cities. Fashola was crazy to think it is not enough to limit neighbors to the parlor, you must allow them in your bedroom as well otherwise it is viewed as abuse. Ibos agree with this and ask if the owner of the house can go anywhere in the house why are we limited to parlor? We want to go in the bedroom also. Fashola was afraid if he said no you will take him to ICJ for violating your human rights to be in his bedroom.

Oba Akiolu said fvk you and good neighborliness, he wants Fashola replacement to be someone that will kick you out of the bedroom, out of the parlor, you are not even fitting to stay in the toilet.....your @ss is going to sit outside in the yard. Fvk ICJ and global observers...we will get world status showcasing Yoruba to the world.

Ladipo is undergoing demolition, Alaba was sealed the other day. Akure is flogging your Eze, Afenifere has called for Obas and state Executives to exercise Customary Laws. Watch....we will uproot your crime and economy and then restrict you to conform with the law of Yorubaland.
Unfortunately,i 've move on to a better conversation and i don't have the time to go through your tribalistic writing. I've said my beat concerning this topic, nobody is supporting the excesses of the Eze. But it's easy to see that this issue is not hinged on his disobedience of our customs but a display of deep seated resentment of igbos. By now you should know that no matter hard to try to restrict Igbos, you will never succeed. No one asked your youths to be lazy and display agbero tendencies while Igbo youths come to yoruba land and displace them. That issue alone is going to drive you lots insane, sorry!

cool Reality is not online. In the real world you have learn to respect people's culture especially when you reside in their very own land. Nnamdi Cownu has poisoned the minds of many flattheads that they are beginning to think that anything Cownu says on radio they can repeat or do on any Nigerian street. Well the amala-eaters have begun to reformat your head with koboko. Go to Warri and try that nonsense and the Urhobos and Itsekiris will give you the hot water treatment. Go and try that nonsense in the North and let the Abokis cut off your flattheads. Make peace akpu-eaters and continue to enjoy the spoils of the land. Otherwise, I assure you, the repercussions will be EPIC. Quote me anywhere.

The Igbo in Akure, the Ondo State capital, are trying to reconcile with the Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo, after a few days of bickering.

The monarch had accused the Eze Ndigbo, Sir Gregory Iloehike, of insubordination and lack of respect for his authority. But Iloehike denied the allegation, saying he couldn’t be arrogant to the tribe that has accommodated his tribe for over many decades ago.

Rising from a special meeting of Ohaneze Ndigbo at the palace of the Eze Ndigbo in Akure, the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo in the state, Chief Okechukwu Okorie, said the Igbo respect the Deji and would not do anything against his wish.

He said the Igbo in the state are peace loving people, adding that the Ohaneze Ndigbo has started reconciliatory moves with the Deji and palace chiefs to ensure peaceful and harmonious co-existence between the Yoruba and Igbo in the town.

The group described the relationship between the Deji and Igbo as that of a father and his children, noting that the monarch remains the father to all. He said: “The Igbo are law abiding and we remain good subjects of the Deji of Akure. We can never warn the Deji on any issue, rather he is in position to warn us.

“The Deji is our father and we are his children. Whatever he wants is our wish and we shall continue to obey his directives.” Okorie, who hinted that the Igbo leaders have decided to reconcile with the Deji, informed that efforts are on top gear to reach out to the traditional ruler.

He urged the monarch to forgive those who might have offended him, adding that the Igbo would continue to maintain the peace for which Akure is known for.

As long as the above quoted is OBSERVED STRICTLY..... you will be tolerated.

Eze Ndigbo "in" Akure ... is different from Eze Ndigbo Akure.
There cant be two kings in one kingdom.

Truly the Igbo are getting sanctified and justified by the Word of God and the Spirit of Christ. Praise God! Lord help the Igbo purify themselves more and more and leave behind every of their cultural tendencies that so easily beset them, that annoy you and that makes them not to live at peace with their neighbours. Hide them from the rain oh Lord and keep them in the centre of your will always. We Pray Oh Lord.

Ihuomadinihu:

I'm yet to hear that Yorubas are demanded to pay Tax and levies in all Igbo states. So why exactly should igbos pay tax in Ondo? Do you think you granted igbos a favour by hosting them in your states? All Igbos have acquired in Akure is a result of sheer hardwork and strong will. The Eze ndi igbo was matured enough to seek for a truce and prevent further escalation of bad blood between yoruba and Igbo citizens,he must be commended for that.
As for the recollection of inter ethnic violence and gross descriptions of what would befall Igbos in Akure,i would have to remind you all that no group have the exclusive right to violence and open slaughtering of non natives.
Those recollections are mere intimadations,i can assure you that if Akure starts bolling and melts out violence on innocent Igbos, the streets of Onitsha will equally boil.
It's highly unfortunate....instead of calling for order and peace, non Igbos will rather recount a silly event and tell igbos that what will happen to them will be better imagine. Spilling of such venemous hostility is enough to make Igbos push for a seperate nation. No point living with folks that are ready to slaughter you based on every little mistake.
There is no week or month that one does not see a mindless attack on Igbos,be it from a bigot traditional ruler or a citizen even when there are no reasons for such attacks.
In Nigeria, foundation of frienship between ethnic groups are built around their collective hatred and hostility for Igbos, even where the basis for that are beyond any human reasoning.

Why will I not like it. The south should be united....and people interest should be protected and respect accorded and reciprocated. Period.
Only agitating for a better Niga and if it cannot be better people can go there own ways.....No use remaining a marriage that is headed never to work. That's just my take.
