Okay.

All of you that spewed nonsense against PDP senators in the former thread while applauding Saraki for confirming corrupt Amaechi and insulting Uguru.
This is when you will know how your Apc can use and dump one of their own.
We shall know who will laugh last, between APC and PDP Senators.

Again, when events which are obviously no co incidents unfold like this: Appeal Court having to adjourn hearing on the CCT against the Senate President only after he has confirmed the nominees of Mr President and other make-believe coincidental body 'ordours' of the present administration, it calls for real thoughtfulness.
Can they deny manipulating the Judiciary again?
Could the Chief Judge of the nation keep mute, forthwith, an stop crying wolf over Nigerians criticism of the judiciary?
Back to the APC administration and her ignorant council of followers, if this interference / dictatorship continues, even the the present economic realities bedevelling the nation, what future do they think Nigeria has.

Let's get something straight, did Apc actually cease power to destroy our democracy, Nigeria and her people?

Yet folks are all over here expressing blind applause, commendation and excitement.
They seem to be happy that the executive Arm of the APC administration has the judiciary in its pockets, an are now reaching out to the Legislature to turn it to a complete rubber-stamp.

Don't use anti-corruption mantra on Nigerians any longer, five months gone, we have seen that your anti-graft war is targeted at opposite and only members of APC that the party has displeasure with.
you tried sooo hard to make sense, albeit you made no sense

lesson for all irrespective of the position we are aspiring or post we have attained, we must always allow merit to take its stand. you can lobby to get to any position but what is very certain is that once one is not legitimately selected, exit is also very certain at time when one is not also planned for.

When Saraki sold his party the APC to PDP for the position of Senate President, some kindergarten politicians like ex-convict Bode George, Yinka Odumakin and other fools said that Tinubu has been taught a lesson, but I know that the Jagaban will fight back. Now the Jagaban has started his fight I hope Bode George, Yinka Odumakin, Afenifere and PDP will continue following Saraki to the Code of Conduct Tribunal and also follow Saraki to his Ilorin home when the Code of Conduct Tribuna sacks Saraki from the Senate and also bans him from holding any political position for the next 10 years.

I thought Saraki was a wise and calculative politicians, didn't know he was so dumb a politician,I said it yesterday that his party will dissapoint him, there is so many interest he went against in APC that he can't appease all, they will simply set a booby trap for him to fall into and break his support based which they did yesterday, and now he is OYO,politics is no permanent enemy but permanent interest, it would have paid him to go the long race with PDP senators for his interest like Tambuwal.than going against them with hope tinubu, lai Mohammed, bubu, kwankwanso, lawan group etc will forgive him.

You might have been in a hurry to chant 'change' and 'sai baba', because you were blind-folded.
Don't also be in a hurry to chant hurrah on seeing this. It is too early to jubilate. Today it might be Saraki, PDP and other energy of Government's turn, tomorrow it might be yours, your kith or kin.
You never can tell which loyal and subservient, and as such favoured APC member will dare to contradict the party's 'right' or 'wrong' doing tomorrow and because of that, will be hounded down.

Wasn't very patient reading ur thesis but the few lines I read showed me how akward some of u pdp supporters think. Pdp ruled for 16 years and u expect the then oppositions(now rulling) to go after themselves? Does this make any sense to u? Even in ur blind support, a room should be made for rational reasoning.

If u are not happy with this administration and u obviously cant do anything to stop them for the next 4yrs, I advise you make the transformer in ur area ur friend now that electricity is a bit available...........both of u will be lively in ur discussion

How Relieved I am to read this...because the Wailers and the town criers would have used this particular case to shout themselves hoarse on how Buhari traded off Amaechi for Saraki's corruption case.

There would have been thousands of threads on politics section on how Buhari's anti-corruption war was just smoke screen, with the moderators helping by making sure there were on the Front page. grin

Femi Aribisiala and Fani Kayode would have written acidic articles to ridicule Buhari.

Akpabio, Deziani etal would have 'seen' a ray of hope....

Oh My God......Sai Buhari Till The PDP Is Finally Buried..

God Bless You for this expertly reasoned analysis which I fully share, @NgeneUkwenu.

I'm near emotional about this development. And the fact that the judges are admitting they had to struggle to be able to reach a consensus before they could deliver this unanimous judgement, just makes me feel that things are beginning to fundamentally change for the better in this land, and that The Heavens may have just started smiling on our Obodo Naija!

Nigerians should all remember Saraki in their prayers. He needs prayer of intercession at this point.

Saraki went tru a difficult situation ysday to confirm Amaechi against all odds. I saw it in his eyes, he was stammering. I felt for him. To me, he was only paying for his misdeed. But then, nobody will outrightly fault his ambition.

We might be controlled by our emotions and feel that he should be forgiven(my feelings too), but Politicians don't play it that way. Even he(Saraki) could become unpredictable after everything.

But in all these, I think he will be pardoned and freed with a rope still on his neck.

Letting Saraki off his crimes will be sending a wrong message dat crime & treachery pays. We must understand dat crime & treachery can get one to d top but it won't keep one there.
Praying 4 a criminal & an enemy of d Nigerian state, an EFCC suspect & a CCT accused will not save Saraki frm paying d legal price 4 looting & d political price 4 having such a treacherous DNA. He has shown his friends both in d PDP & d APC dat he can not be trusted.

It is obvious Saraki has lost all his abobakus in pdp and Nairaland(Ofcourse they only rallied behind him to spite PMB,now that he has Amaechied them...hmmm).However ,if the CCB finds him wanting(and I am sure they will)he should take his fate like a 'man'.

Well Saraki does not have any choice than to confirm the nominees, either he confirm them or not the appeal and presidency still have power over him and Ameachi name will be resend to the senate after Saraki have been unseat. So best is to confirm the nominees and have a safe landing. But no matter what he is still going down.

Does the PDP as a party not want to warm its way into the hearts of Nigerians. I think the party is going about the wrong way and that they haven't learnt their lessons from their last electoral loss, which should have suggested to them that Nigerians have become wiser. How do you explain the position of PDP on Amechi vis-a-vis the party's position on the following:

1. That Saraki should not be tried and while being tried he must remain Senate President (in fact, a couple of them served as his body guards to his trial)
2. That Buruji Kashamu should not be extradited
3. That the trial of former NSA, Sambo Dasuki is witch hunting
4. That Akpabio can remain minority leader despite the several allegations hanging on his neck

If the party holds the positions above on the basis of presumption of innocence, why are they not extending the same courtesy to Amechi, especially when the issue was in court. It is trite that you can not approbrate and reprobate at the same time. How more unprincipled will the present PDP get.

Pray, does it not smack of crass stupidity and Political tomfoolery to preempt the court of law: Ministers do not enjoy immunity (and I very much doubt if a minister undergoing trial will enjoy the the escort services of fellow ministers as was witnessed with the senators), I will therefore encourage the PDP to bring any documentary evidence of financial mismanagement to the relevant agencies and make it available for the public to ensure follow up rather this resort to political gangsterism.
