He is still going down?
Yet you are saying he had no choice?
And you really think APC didn't deceive him into accepting to confirm Amaechi that all will be well with him?
were you there when APC promise him? You seem don't get me, FG Govt have power over everything here. If Saraki confirmed Ameachi or not that does not change anything but but might receive a soft landing at the CCT. If Saraki did not confirm Ameachi that will make matter worst more cos the Appeal court will still throw out his case and CCT will unseat him and ask him to vacate Senate completely. But in this case they cannot just throw out the car just like that base what they perceive about Saraki nursing of 2019. After confirming Ameachi they might unseat him but will still remain as a floor member. So in the case Saraki will rather dance to the APC and the Presidency tune than to that of the PDP SENATORS cos there is nothing that can do to safe him and following the PDP will make matter worst.

We thank God that the Appeal court judges were professional with their ruling otherwise, it will nullify the existence of the CCT due to Judicial Precedence. However, we know Saraki will walk scot free, probably, the CCT case may be used to checkmate him and keep him in order each time he intends to make rash decisions

This might have been necessarily the case pre-May 29, this year. It will be increasingly hard for it to be so going forward from here.

Now where will the SP run to.Saraki should not have gone against his the ruling party wishes, and when he got the seat thru the backdoor,he shud have reached a compromise with the powers that be to give himself a soft landing, but pride they say cometh before a fall.Getting the to the seat without his partys blessing made saraki swim in d belief that he is a strategic genius.but what does he have nw,he has known no peace since getting to the post, frm PMBs body language to presiding over a fractured chamber that keeps passin votes of confidence and his recent stoning travails in his home town where he was invincible months ago. This ccb case has damaged bukkys reputation.his adversaries have him exactly where they want him to be.All thats left is to be hanged by public opinion. Now he's caught within pleasing the pdp and looking for the good fortunes of his party. He is really btw a rock and a hard place and that is what blind ambition brings a man.

Does the PDP as a party not want to warm its way into the hearts of Nigerians. I think the party is going about the wrong way and that they haven't learnt their lessons from their last electoral loss, which should have suggested to them that Nigerians have become wiser. How do you explain the position of PDP on Amechi vis-a-vis the party's position on the following:

1. That Saraki should not be tried and while being tried he must remain Senate President (in fact, a couple of them served as his body guards to his trial)
2. That Buruji Kashamu should not be extradited
3. That the trial of former NSA, Sambo Dasuki is witch hunting
4. That Akpabio can remain minority leader despite the several allegations hanging on his neck

If the party holds the positions above on the basis of presumption of innocence, why are they not extending the same courtesy to Amechi, especially when the issue was in court. It is trite that you can not approbrate and reprobate at the same time. How more unprincipled will the present PDP get.

Pray, does it not smack of crass stupidity and Political tomfoolery to preempt the court of law: Ministers do not enjoy immunity (and I very much doubt if a minister undergoing trial will enjoy the the escort services of fellow ministers as was witnessed with the senators), I will therefore encourage the PDP to bring any documentary evidence of financial mismanagement to the relevant agencies and make it available for the public to ensure follow up rather this resort to political gangsterism.

Okay.

All of you that spewed nonsense against PDP senators in the former thread while applauding Saraki for confirming corrupt Amaechi and insulting Uguru.
This is when you will know how your Apc can use and dump one of their own.
We shall know who will laugh last, between APC and PDP Senators.

Again, when events which are obviously no co incidents unfold like this: Appeal Court having to adjourn hearing on the CCT against the Senate President only after he has confirmed the nominees of Mr President and other make-believe coincidental body 'ordours' of the present administration, it calls for real thoughtfulness.
Can they deny manipulating the Judiciary again?
Could the Chief Judge of the nation keep mute, forthwith, an stop crying wolf over Nigerians criticism of the judiciary?
Back to the APC administration and her ignorant council of followers, if this interference / dictatorship continues, even the the present economic realities bedevelling the nation, what future do they think Nigeria has.

Let's get something straight, did Apc actually cease power to destroy our democracy, Nigeria and her people?

Yet folks are all over here expressing blind applause, commendation and excitement.
They seem to be happy that the executive Arm of the APC administration has the judiciary in its pockets, an are now reaching out to the Legislature to turn it to a complete rubber-stamp.

Don't use anti-corruption mantra on Nigerians any longer, five months gone, we have seen that your anti-graft war is targeted at opposite and only members of APC that the party has displeasure with.

You might have been in a hurry to chant 'change' and 'sai baba', because you were blind-folded.
Don't also be in a hurry to chant hurrah on seeing this. It is too early to jubilate. Today it might be Saraki, PDP and other energy of Government's turn, tomorrow it might be yours, your kith or kin.
You never can tell which loyal and subservient, and as such favoured APC member will dare to contradict the party's 'right' or 'wrong' doing tomorrow and because of that, will be hounded down.
As much as I want to agree with your motion, I think it would not serves us well to do away with any of the thieves that is in the dock.
99% of political office holders are thieves. One by one we will hunt them down either by witch , wizard or ogbanje hunting .

Nigerians should all remember Saraki in their prayers. He needs prayer of intercession at this point.

Saraki went tru a difficult situation ysday to confirm Amaechi against all odds. I saw it in his eyes, he was stammering. I felt for him. To me, he was only paying for his misdeed. But then, nobody will outrightly fault his ambition.

We might be controlled by our emotions and feel that he should be forgiven(my feelings too), but Politicians don't play it that way. Even he(Saraki) could become unpredictable after everything.

But in all these, I think he will be pardoned and freed with a rope still on his neck.

we will pray for him if he set free kwarans from his bondage

I like the way you sound up here, because you have attempted to be unprejudiced.
But I have a little inhibition about your refusal to join in the clarion call that the present administration should not be selective in the anti-graft war. If at all they mean it.
To what extent is it possible that Amaechi, Fashola, Fayemi and some others are 'clean' from Corruption?
If they are not, will they also be hounded down?
This is the main anti-corruption fight.

Again, the Senate confirming the likes of the above-mentioned and the attendant euphoria by APC and in their diverse camps, does this in any way a deflation, a mockery and shame on the APC's most treasured, popular and sellable ANTI-CORRUPTION WAR?

I am expecting any of them in the docks. What we need to get another big thief to the dock is a well documented evidence of his/her deeds that have traces of corruption.

Anyone of our politicians who have been in position of authority either in state or federal level have case to answer in the court.

How much are we prepared to open their books in order to make them feel the heat is my concerns.
Be you in APC, PDP, APGA or whatever political family, I see all of them in one piece.

Contrary to what people have been thinking, APC, nay the presidency has a hand in Saraki's trial. Some departments just want to be seen to be doing their job including EFCC.
That's my take from day one, when the body language changed at Asp Rock, that every agency wants to justify their existence, their budget and to impress.
Unfortunately for Saraki, EFCC decided to start from the top.
If they successfully prosecute him, the flood gate that could open cannot be imagined.
That's why Saraki has many supporters, not because they loved him, but rather they are much concerned about reverberating effect, if he is found guilty for many of his supporters.
